Vivekananda B.Ed. College in Bangalore, which was founded in 2004 as a college devoted to the preparation of teachers. Sited in Karnataka, Bangalore, this affiliated college has been moulding future educators for almost two decades. Situated on a limited area of 1.5 acres, the college provides an intense learning climate for prospective teachers. The college currently has 95 students and 8 teachers, which makes the ratio of students to teachers ideal for every stakeholder in the college.

The colleges have put in place several installations to support learning and improve students’ performance. It is a source of information enabling users to access documents required for learning or other research processes. For practical sessions, the college aims at having well-equipped laboratories for ICT, educational psychology, physics, chemistry, biology, languages, social sciences, as well as mathematics laboratories. These facilities enable learners to get practical exposure all in one place, from where they can get theoretical knowledge as well. 

The college also provides for the physical needs of the students through pro-vision  sports and a gym for the college students to keep fit. As for the needs of living accommodations, the hostels for boys and girls are provided with comfortable conditions of living. There is also available space and it also has an auditorium for events and seminars to enhance the functionality of the campus. The canteen is available to meet the culinary needs of students and the members of the staff by providing foods and beverages. The college is endowed with a health centre that has first aid facilities for the college members.

Since its operation, Vivekananda B.Ed. College has thus offered its students a focused programme area of speciality in teacher training. The college occupies one full-time course at the current tender age, that is the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme. The approved intake for this two-year programme has been up to 100 seats and it caters to the large number of students aspiring to be teachers every year. The B.Ed. course is developed to impart knowledge and skills among the students for the teaching profession as they wanted to be successful teachers.

Admissions of students in Vivekananda B.Ed. College are on the basis of merit and as per rules and regulations formed by the state government, the UT administration, and the university where the college is affiliated. Clients seeking admission are assessed on characteristics that include the results of the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other examination set down by the relevant authorities. This makes sure that the college takes students with a good academic background as well as students with a passion for teaching. 

The college is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), thus confirming the standard curriculum and teaching standards required in the country.
