Vivekananda Satavarshiki Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1964. Located in Manikpara, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal, the institution is affiliated as well as accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Having a campus area of around 18.86 acres, the college has a student enrolment of 2,578 students and a faculty strength of 18. This college offers 17 courses across 6 degrees. It provides several programmes to the students, including BA in Bengali, Sanskrit, Economics, English, Geography, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Santali, and B.Sc, B.Com, M.Sc, and B.Sc with Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Physical Education.

Vivekananda Satavarshiki Mahavidyalaya has a library made up of a vast collection that associates students and other faculty as a rich source of learning. The college Laboratories are well-equipped aiding in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Geography, which offers the students access to the respective subjects for their practical firsthand experience. For the students' physical well-being, the institution possesses a gymnasium and sports facilities for various games like football, volleyball, badminton, cricket, and table tennis. On the other hand, the campus is facilitated with a couple of separate hostels: one for boys and one for girls students are provided accommodation based on the distance of their houses to the institution.
