Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies of Delhi was set up in the year 2000 and is an affiliated college situated in Pitampura, Delhi. India’s first BCI-approved institute is present in the city and is a five-acre campus that offers several law courses. The school boasts of a faculty of 70 members and offers full legal education for those who would wish to practice in the field. The institute provides four courses, of which three are degree programmes in different branches of law. Lacking the specific ranking data, the approval of BCI remains rather proof of the school’s concern about preserving educational standards in legal studies.
The institute has provided various facilities that can embrace students’ educational and personal needs. The main highlight of the facility is a vast library that contains more than fifty thousand books, bound volumes of journals, and subscriptions to national and international periodicals. It also has LLM courses in corporate law and alternative dispute resolution, though the number of students that are taken in these programmes is not indicated. All the courses presented are intended to equip the students with adequate background knowledge in legal studies and equip them for careers in the legal sector.
The entrance in Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies is normally done through centralised testing, through the Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET). This entrance exam is a single most parameter regarding admission to the integrated BA LLB and BBA LLB courses. Recruitment in this Common Entrance Test takes its foundation from the merits of the candidates.
