A Tamil Nadu-based affiliated college and one of the oldest institutions to be established in India is Voorhees College of the year 1898, located in Vellore. Located on a campus of 4 acres, this co-educational college provides students with an opportunity to enrol in 50 courses, falling into 12 degrees, at undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The college has a student enrolment of 4,273 students and 125 faculty members, which makes the  student-to-facult ratio extraordinarily favourable. Currently, college male students comprise 82% while females are 18%, and at course level 91% are undergraduate and 9% postgraduate.

To enhance the learning process in the digital world, Voorhees College has strong IT facilities. As for students’ physical health, the college provides gyms and sports in order. The institution also has a close relationship with the alumni through alumni associations. To meet the convenience of the visiting faculty and the students’ families, there are guest rooms and waiting areas provided on campus.

The college has various courses and it has 50 courses offered across disciplines in various fields available for its students. These include undergraduate, postgraduate, and undergraduate degree programmes, master's programmes, and Ph.Ds. The courses are M.Phil, BA, B.Sc., etc. To meet the educational requirements of the diverse students, the college offers government-approved and self-financed courses. The college was estimated to have 4,254 students enrolled by the academic year 2022, of which 3,857 were undergraduate students and 397 were postgraduate students.

Voorhees College provides different programmes; therefore, it has a system of admitting students for these courses. Although no specific entrance test is mentioned, the college may use the academic performance of the candidate in the previous qualifying examination. The institution has a commitment towards ensuring that students achieve their financial needs in their years of study; by the academic year 2022, 1,609 undergraduate students here were reimbursed, while 162 postgraduate students were reimbursed. This focus on scholarships supports the goal of affordability and expansion of high-quality education to as many learners as possible.
