VT Choksi Sarvajanik College of Education, Surat, was started in the year 1960. It is one of the prominent institutions for teacher education. This co-educational college, located in the happening city of Surat in Gujarat, is an affiliated institution with recognition from the NCTE. The institution has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The institute sprawls over a 3-acre campus and offers two specialized degree courses in education, with a student enrolment of 104. The faculty strength is 8, comprising highly experienced educators thereby ensuring a very conducive student-to-teacher ratio that provides personal attention and guidance.

VT Choksi Sarvajanik College of Education offers two full-time courses related to education. The B.Ed., and the M.Ed. is available, both programs are two years in duration and provide comprehensive training in educational theory and practice.  

The admission process is guided by the principles of equity and merit at VT Choksi Sarvajanik College of Education. For its B.Ed program, the institute conducts admissions through a Centralised B.Ed. Admission Committee using a Single Window Computerised System to ensure transparency and efficiency in the selection process. Selection is done as per the merit of the candidates based on their performance in the qualifying examination. The admission process into the M.Ed. program is also merit-based, depending on the marks achieved in the qualifying examination, entrance examination, or any other selection procedure laid down by the State Government, University, or UT Administration.
