VTM NSS College, Thiruvananthapuram, is an accredited intercollege institution in the southern part of Kerala, India, which was started in 1964. This affiliated college, which is accredited by the NAAC, also provides numerous undergrad and postgraduate courses. Located on a vast expanse of land of 19.465 square kilometres, this college has an overall strength of 1783 students and they have total numbers of 56 faculties. Undergraduate courses offered by VTM NSS College include 16 courses over 5 degrees, with focus areas offered in arts, commerce, and sciences. The institution has a good number of students, whereby 65% of the female students and 35% of the male students, which shows that the institution supports the reduction of the gender divide.

This college, like many other institutions, has improved on their facilities that facilitate the education of the students. Some of these are libraries, computerised laboratories, libraries, laboratories, and gymnasiums. With respect to the current study, VTM NSS College has developed a rich portfolio of academic offerings comprising of eleven undergraduate and five postgraduate programmes. The undergraduate courses include those in English, Physics, Commerce, Malayalam, Politics, Science, History, Economics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, and Botany, among others. At the postgraduate level, the college offers MA in English, History, Economics, and M.Com. Collectively, the total approved intake for all courses stands at 1,783 and the college has a meticulously balanced composition of arts and science. At the end of the most recent academic year, there were a total of 1,746 students in all programmes, 1,597 of whom were undergrads and 149 postgraduates.

VTM NSS College follows a mainly centralised admission process for all courses offered in the college. The candidates with favourable academic performance in the qualifying examination are admitted to the programme.
