Vyas College of Engineering and Technology (VCET) was set up in 2008 and is an affiliated college situated in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Currently situated at a 5-acre campus in Greater Noida, VCET is approved and recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). It has three B.Tech programmes in its portfolio for a total student capacity of 156 and a faculty of 53 members. This commitment to quality education is well articulated in VCET’s core disciplines of engineering, such as civil engineering, computer science and engineering, and electrical engineering. Alma mater is a centre of learning, stocked with more than 80 thousand books selected for engineering faculties only. In VCET, the majority of admissions are done with the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) and the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main scores. 85% of the REAP/JEE Main scores are used to determine admission to B.Tech. programmes across the university. Minimum eligibility is 10+2 in the respective subject combination, having a minimum of 45% marks for the general category and 40% for SC/ST/non creamy layer OBC/SBC candidates of Rajasthan. VCET considers admission applications from such students who have qualified the JEE Main examination and this exam is usually held in the months of January and April. The college also thereby takes a look at the academic performance in the 12th standard board examination results.
