Yadava College was established in the year 1962 in Madurai Tamil Nadu, India and is an autonomous college. The college is spread over a 39.57-acre campus, and delivers 41 courses under 12 degree programmes. The institution has 3,520 students in their institution and faculty of 139, the ratio of student to teacher is, therefore, favourable. The NAAC has accredited the institution in a clear testimony of the quality education offered in the institution. The college is composed of 2,084 male and 908 female student populations and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Physical facilities given by Yadava College for the betterment of student experience. The campus has a separate hostel for boys and girls with the capacity of 112 and 121 respectively. As an information centre, a modern equipped library is available, internet browsing centre and intra-net facility, Digital Library, e-resources etc. Its health and related services include a medical centre equipped with first aid facilities for the college inhabitants. For those passionate of sports and games, the institution provides facilities of indoor as well as outdoor athletic fields and play grounds under a covered multi-gym which is consisting of six places containing different hard ware of fitness. Computer facilities are well developed, there are six computer labs containing 413 computers, of them many are connected with internet. The college is also supplemented by well developed laboratories such as a foreign language laboratory for language learning. Other facilities include an assembly hall for occasions such as seminars, and a cafeteria for the employees and learners.

According to the interest of the candidates, Yadava College provides solution in various academic fields. The institution offers 41 courses within all disciplines and in full time as well as self financed programmes. At undergraduate level, traditional programmes include Bachelor of Arts in Tamil, History and English, Bachelor of Commerce, B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. The college also offers modern courses such as B.Sc in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biochemistry, BBA and BCA. For post graduate students, the courses offered are MA in Tamil and English, M.Com, M.Sc in various sciences and M.Phil & Ph.D. programmes. Also, diploma programmes are offered in Tourism and Travel Management, while Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA) course are also provided. The college admits a total of 3,520 students.

As for the exams, the college may admit students according to academic calendar of its affiliating university.
