Shri Sharada Bhavan Education Society (SSBES) established Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya Nanded in 1963 with the motto "Dispelling Darkness from the Lives of the Poor." Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya Nanded has a long history of academic excellence in research and study. It now has over 8000 students enrolled in UG and PG programmes.

The Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya Nanded has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with ‘A’ grade. The Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya is ISO-certified and the college is also recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The campus size of the college is spread over an area of 1 acre of land. It has a total of 56 faculty members.
