Zeal Institute of Business Administration, Computer Application and Research was established in the year 1996. It is one of the premier institutions located in the city of Pune, Maharashtra, affiliated to the Savitribai Phule University of Pune. It is an AICTE-approved post-graduate college. Its campus spreads over 0.5 acres and received accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. With an enrolment of  322 students and 13 faculty members, this institute provides a focused learning environment. 

The Zeal Institute of Business Administration boasts varied modern facilities meant for student learning. The well-equipped library, designed by ZIBACAR as an adroit knowledge resource centre, is at the very heart of the institutes' academic resources. The broad facility contains a wide collection of books, journals, and online resources for students to explore as an ideal place for research and study. ZIBACAR offers two full-time postgraduate programmes, namely Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). The MBA programme has an intake capacity of 120 seats. MCA offers 60 seats. Both programmes focus on giving students deep knowledge and practical skills in the respective stream. The institute emphasises these two areas so that their education can be more concentrated in those subjects and they get better training in their field.

Admission to ZIBACAR takes in capable and motivated students into its postgraduate programmes. The institute accepts scores from a state-level aptitude test for the management studies leading to the offering of MBA. Similarly, for the MCA programme, the institute admits students who score at least a specified level in the Maharashtra MCA Common Entrance Test (MAH MCA CET), which tests the proficiency of applicants in computer science and related domains.
