Eligibility Criteria for NEET Admission
1. Minimum Percentage in 12th Grade:
- For General category students, you normally need a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology put together in your 12th-grade exams.
- For SC/ST/OBC candidates, the aggregate is 40%.
- Your overall percentage of 45% is below the minimum requirement for general category candidates. However, if you're from a reserved category, you may still qualify for NEET eligibility as long as you meet the category-specific requirement.
2. Subject-Specific Marks:
- Physics-56%, Chemistry-44%, and Biology-54% marks look fairly alright for NEET eligibility so far, provided your aggregate is above the cutoff as of your category.
The score in Biology is satisfactory for NEET eligibility.
3. NEET Examination:
- NEET eligibility does not rely on your board percentage. You are eligible for NEET if you meet the minimum aggregate marks in your 12th subjects.

There isn't a dedicated "Biology" subject in the UPSC exam, aspects of biology, particularly related to ecology, human health, and biotechnology, are included in the General Studies paper of the Prelims exam, and you can also choose "Botany" or "Zoology" as optional subjects in the Mains exam if you want to focus more deeply on biological topics.
However,UPSC manage its all mains paper continuously ,so you take botany and zoology as optional subject then you will do extra hard work at exam time because it is not to help to get good marks in mains. If you take History Geography etc and hard work in this subject then it help to gain good marks in GS paper as well as optional subject of mains.
