IIT Madras Online Degree Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for IITM online degree programs, candidates are required to meet certain eligibility criteria defined by the institute. The IITM online degree eligibility criteria are as follows:
Candidates must have completed class 12 or equivalent and have studied Mathematics and English in class 10.
Candidates who have currently enrolled or previously enrolled in any Bachelor’s degree in campus mode or completed a 1-year Diploma (campus mode only) or completed CA Inter are also eligible for the IITM Online degree programme.
Note: Applicants who have cleared class 12 or equivalent may apply for the qualifier process. However, they must have enrolled in or completed any bachelor’s degree programme/ diploma/ CA Inter to join the foundation level course after clearing the qualifying exam.

This is the first level of the IITM Online Degree. The Foundation Level encompasses courses in Statistics, Mathematics, English, and Basics of Programming and Python. Degree Level Syllabus
There are two levels of IIT Madras Online Degrees – Online BSc in Programming and Data Science and Online BS in Data Science and Applications. Once the learners complete degree level courses, they can exit with the IITM Online BSc in Programming and Data Science degree or proceed to the BS Degree Level.
Once the student successfully completes all the levels and earns 142 credits, they can exit with an IIT Madras BS Degree in Data Science and Applications.

IIT Madras Online Degree Admission Details
There are two options for admission to the IITM Online Degree programs - Regular Entry and Diploma Only Entry. Through Regular Entry, candidates will join the Foundation Level by successfully completing the qualifier process. Candidates appearing for the most recent JEE Advanced exam can directly get admission to the Foundation Level.
