1. Account login/creation phase

The first step consists of your choice to enrol in the program. To proceed, please use the red button at the top of the program webpage that says “Enroll”. Once clicked, a new tab will open up in your browser. You are required to either login into your existing edX account or create a new one. It is expected that existing users will be logged in at this point. For new visitors, please follow the on-screen instructions to create an account. The following information will be needed from your end:

• First and Last Name
• Public username
• Suitable password
• Valid email address
• Current country of residence

2. Track selection phase

This step involves the selection of the two tracks that are available. These are briefly explained as follows:

• Official Certification path: Choose this path if you wish to receive the verifiable certificate from the partnering institution, which is RedHat in this case. This route is suitable for participants who seek to improve their employability. Please note that this is a paid track
• Audit pathway: This route is for those who seek to upskill themselves without spending money. They still get access to the courseware but it is limited to 6 weeks and doesn’t result in a certification either. This path is for those who would like to sample the subject

3. Payment phase

This stage is applicable for those opting for the official and verified path from the last step. Please review the following text to get an overview:

• Those students who are on the audit track needn’t pay a fee. In this mode, the dashboard displays the time left till the course access is available. Therefore, please create a suitable study schedule to be able to finish the program before it expires. However, if you feel the need to, you can upgrade to unlimited time access by paying the requisite fee
• On the other hand, for those who opt to take up the certified path, a nominal tuition fee will be payable. This can be done using a credit card from all major banks. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express cards are valid. Moreover, PayPal is also allowed as a payment mode.
