Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has proposed introducing a 3-year LLB program starting from the 2025-26 academic session . However, this plan is still pending approval from the required statutory bodies, such as the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the university's governing authorities.
At present, the university offers only 5-year integrated law programs , including BA LLB and BBA LLB .
These courses are designed for students who wish to pursue law directly after completing their 12th grade .
The introduction of the 3-year LLB is aimed at graduates from any discipline who wish to pursue a career in law .
This program provides an alternative for students who were unable to opt for the 5-year integrated law course earlier but now want to enter the legal field .
