Hello,

The number of holidays provided by AIIMS Delhi for MBBS students during Diwali , Holi , summer , and winter vacations can vary each year, depending on the academic calendar and clinical responsibilities. Here is a general idea based on past norms:

Diwali and Holi

  • Diwali : Typically, MBBS students may get a break of 2-3 days , depending on whether the festival coincides with other holidays or weekends.
  • Holi : Usually, 1-2 days of holidays are provided.

Summer Vacation

  • The summer vacation duration is shorter compared to other universities because of the rigorous medical curriculum. It is usually around 2-3 weeks for pre-clinical and paraclinical years (1st and 2nd year).
  • During the clinical years (3rd year onwards), summer vacations might be reduced further due to clinical postings and ward duties.

Winter Vacation

  • Winter vacations are typically around 7-10 days , but this can vary depending on the academic year and clinical postings.

Important Notes

  • Clinical Postings : For students in their clinical years, the schedule might be tighter, with fewer holidays, as ward duties and patient care take precedence.
  • Academic Calendar : The exact dates and duration are specified in the annual academic calendar released by the AIIMS administration.
  • Preparation Leaves : Before exams, MBBS students are often granted preparation leave, which might coincide with or extend these vacation periods.

Hope it helps !

Hello,

Hello,

Typically, when a student fails in MBBS supplementary exams and is required to repeat the year, they are usually required to pay the tuition fees for the entire year again. However, the payment structure may vary depending on the institution's policies.

Here are possible scenarios:

Some institutions might require you to pay the full tuition fees for the year, which can be a significant financial burden.

A few institutions might only charge exam fees for the subjects you need to retake, which would be a more affordable option.

Some institutions might charge a partial fee, which could be a percentage of the full tuition fees.

Hello,

The cut-off in Jammu and Kashmir for students to get the MBBS seats under the EWS category is around 420 in NEET. For BDS, the cutoff is slightly lower than the MBBS cutoff. Following the trend and previous years' cut-off data:

  • EWS Cutoff Marks: As per the percentile 50 for NEET 2024, the marks for appearing in the counseling process of the EWS category should be at least 164.
  • BDS Trends: Closing ranks of government dental colleges under diverse categories for the previous year were in the range of around 16,000 to 30,000. So, probably, BDS seats under EWS category will be viable with NEET scores anywhere from 350 to 400, which may all depend on college and type of counseling round.

More precise information and better predictions can only be got by awaiting the state counseling notification and merit list release for the 2024 admission cycle.
