CPCT full from is Computer Proficiency Certification Test, an initiative by the government of Madhya Pradesh towards digitalization, stands for Computer Proficiency Certification Test. Candidates are frequently evaluated based on computer training certifications supplied by various agencies, and occasionally through in-person interviews, in order to determine whether they possess the necessary and in-demand abilities. Many times, the level of computer expertise demonstrated during such certification processes does not correspond to the actual performance of hired human resources. There are currently no internationally recognised benchmarks for computer skills and no such national/international certification exists. The government of Madhya Pradesh has thus made it a prerequisite for many government jobs wherein working with computers and typing are basic skills.

For the purposes of e-Governance and computerization, MAP IT offers policy and institutional framework, strategic and project consulting, project execution, technical assistance, and capacity building to government departments and agencies. Additionally, MAP IT encourages awareness-raising and skill-building in the IT industry, supports government HRD in the IT sector, and facilitates language localization policies and support for IT-related projects. It is also the agency entrusted by the government to conduct CPCT.
