What is the full form of CSAT?
The complete form of CSAT is the Civil Services Aptitude Test. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in India organised this competitive exam for civil service enrollment for numerous government posts, for instance, the Indian Police Service (IPS), the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), and the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). This test checks the applicant’s aptitude, analytical skills and reasoning ability. Moreover, it is a nationwide exam with two question papers, General Studies and General Ability Test, each with 200 marks. The aspirant must appear for both exams to be eligible for this exam. Furthermore, the candidates have 2 hours to finish the exam. The minimum qualifying score for the exam is 33 per cent.
Eligibility Criteria For CSAT Exam
To appear in CSAT, students must fulfil the following requirement.
Age
For the general category, the candidate’s minimum age must be 21 and can go up to 32 years.
The minimum age requirement for the OBC category is 21, and the maximum is 35 years.
The minimum age is 21, and the maximum is 37 years for the SC/ST category.
For the defence services, The maximum age of personnel disabled is 40 years.
Academic Qualifications
All applicants must hold at least one of the following academic credentials.
Degree from a regional, national, or international university.
An open university diploma.
A diploma earned through distance education.
As mentioned earlier, the Indian government has approved a degree equal to one of those.
Nationality
The applicant must be an Indian citizen to be considered for the Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service.
The ideal applicant for additional services should fit one of the following criteria:
An individual must reside in India.
A Tibetan refugee who, before January 1, 1962, made a permanent home in India.
A person of Indian descent who moved to India with the purpose of staying there permanently from one of the following countries: Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Vietnam are eligible.
