What is the full form of CUI and CUI?

CUI always stands for the character user interface.it is a user interface that always interacts with a computer through the keyboard and always requires a command by the keyboard to perform any function.GUI always stands for graphical user interface and it always interacts with computer visuals and graphics. An important point to be noted is that a character user interface is a precursor of a graphical user interface. Let's talk about the user interface, It is the system by which the computer and user interact with each other by using input and output devices.

What is the character user interface?

Earlier, character user interfaces were used in most computers but now most computers use GUI rather than CUI. If we talk about CUI examples then, MS doc has a character user interface. What is the graphical user interface?

GUI( graphical user interface) uses graphics which include images, navigation bars and icons. and if we talk about graphical user interface examples then, Windows has a graphical user interface. With the help of a graphical user interface, many tasks can be managed easily and users can work and also manage multiple programmes at a time. If we talk about the most important feature of a graphical user interface then it is the use of shortcut keys they are very useful and can save lots of time if the user requires to perform a job that needed many actions then shortcut keys can make work easy. It is also used very high power than other interfaces due to all the graphical representation and it uses a huge amount of computer resources, Using the graphical interface is not an easy task because if there is any single error on a part of the coder can render then all their efforts became useless. In a graphical user interface, the data are presented as a symbol, icons and forms and the user only requires to click on them.

Difference between the character user interface and graphical user interface.

1. In character user interface navigation is not easy, while in graphical user interface navigation is easy to use.

2. CUI has high Precision while GUI has low precision.

3. CUI is less flexible and GUI is a highly flexible user interface.

4. In CUI users always interact with the computer system by typing into the keyboard while in GUI the user always interacts with the computer system by Mouse and menu clicks.

5. Character user interface is easy to use while the graphical user interface is quite difficult to use and mostly requires expertise.
