The Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) is conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to undergraduate programmes, including BA LLB, in participating Central, State and other universities. CUET itself is not a separate “law exam”, but BA LLB admissions are done through specific subject combinations and eligibility criteria defined by each university.

First, you must check eligibility. To apply for BA LLB through CUET-UG, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. The CUET-UG exam is conducted in computer-based test mode. The English section tests reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar and verbal ability. The General Test includes general knowledge, current affairs, logical reasoning, numerical ability and quantitative aptitude. Each section consists of multiple-choice questions, and there is negative marking for incorrect answers.

Once the exam is over, NTA releases the answer key, followed by the result and scorecard. CUET scores are not used for direct admission. Instead, participating universities release their own counselling or admission forms after the results are declared.

For counselling and admission, you need to apply separately on the official website of each university offering BA LLB through CUET. Universities prepare merit lists based on CUET scores, category, reservation policies and sometimes additional criteria. If your name appears in the merit list, you must participate in counselling, choose your preferred college or course and complete document verification and fee payment.

The 23 resident seats are split  between BA LLB and BSc LLB as per the seat matrix with reservations . Coming from a science background , BSc LLB suits you well , but BA LLB is also an option . First you should recover the form number in the official website by using your credentials, and then after that, with this number, get the admit card. Second, you can check your SMS/email for the form number and follow the similar steps.

If you are a PCB student and want to apply for BA Psychology at Delhi University, you can still choose Psychology as a CUET domain subject even though you didn’t study it in Class 12. DU allows students from any stream to pick subjects like Psychology, Sociology, or Political Science for CUET. The idea that only Class 12 subjects can be chosen as domain subjects is a common confusion, but it doesn’t apply to most DU programmes, including BA Psychology.
