DTDC: Desk to Desk Courier and Cargo

DTDC was founded in 1990 and has its headquarters in Bangalore. It has over 430 operational facilities distributed across India, along with 7 Zonal offices, 20 strategically placed Regional Offices, and 7 Zonal offices. Through its strategic relationship with Geopost's DPD group, Europe's second-largest Parcels Delivery company, DTDC has now started the process of changing its identity from an Express Document Player to an Integrated Parcels Driven Business. The company is now changing the brand name to DTDC Express Limited as part of its Vision 2020 programme, which focuses on enhancing its expertise in the logistics industry. The goal of the brand makeover is to portray DTDC as a full-service express logistics provider that adds substantial value to the markets it serves around the world.

Through its extensive network of more than 10,500 franchisees, DTDC Express Limited has a presence in more than 500 district headquarters and offers services to more than 10,500 Pin codes while managing more than 12 million shipments each month.

Through its own operations, joint ventures, and commercial partners, DTDC Express Limited supports 240 foreign sites across the world, including the USA, UK, Canada, UAE, Hong Kong, Australia, China, and all Asian nations. The success of the network at DTDC is largely a result of the efforts of its staff. It is made up of a family of 35,000 members who are dedicated to its spirit of service, including employees, franchisees, and their associates.

DTDC of history

The path of DTDC throughout the years has been filled with achievements, innovation, and frequently pushing the boundaries. With several firsts to its name, DTDC has consistently worked to not only develop as a company but also establish new industry standards.

DTDC was established in 1990 by CMD and was incorporated as a private limited company. It later got transferred as a Public Limited Company in 1994 and it started growing worldwide and had its first international enlargement in the US, UK, and Dubai in the year 2000. It kept growing and in the year 2003 its revenue crossed 100 crores and crossed 200 crores in 2007. Also Reliance ADAG (Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group) made a private equity investment in DTDC.

Premium Express Products (PEP) portfolio debuted in 2008. Supply Chain Solutions, a part of DTDC, was established with an emphasis on offering cargo services via surface, air, and rail modes. Under its auspices, DTDC Retail Ltd. established DTDC New World, which runs a chain of convenience stores and aims to make customers' life easier by offering a variety of services.

In 2015, the introduction of DTDC's new brand identity by the help of the DPD(Dynamic Parcel Distribution) group, a major partner. In addition to a new Co Branded identity, the brand name was renamed to DTDC Express Limited (formerly DTDC Courier & Cargo Ltd.). It then established its first cutting-edge automated hub in Hyderabad before moving on to Delhi.
