About HPCET 2024

HPCET 2024 - HPTU commenced the second HPCET 2024 counselling based on JEE Mains on August 1. Candidates have to report to the HPTU Campus, Harimpur along with the necessary documents as per the counselling schedule. The authority held round 1 of HPCET counselling 2024 for BTech admission through JEE Main and HPCET between July 25 to 30. Candidates can check all the HPCET counselling dates here. The authority is conducting the HPCET counselling 2024 separately for different categories in two rounds. Admission to 50% of seats will be done through JEE Main and the remaining 50% through HPCET 2024. Allotment of seats will be based on the candidate's rank, category, preference, and availability of seats.

Himachal Pradesh Technical University concluded the HPCET counselling registration and choice-filling on July 8, 2024. Qualified candidates had to register for the counselling on the official website himtu.ac.in. The authority conducted the document verification process in offline mode on July 5 and 11. HPCET counselling 2024 registration started on June 12. The HPCET exam was held on May 10 while the HPCET result was declared on May 29, 2024. 

The authority released the final answer key of HP CET 2024 on May 21. Candidates could challenge the HPCET answer key from May 13 to 16. The authorities concluded the HP CET 2024 registration process on May 1, 2024. The registration link for HP CET 2024 was provided on the official website himtu.ac.in. The HP CET 2024 application form was released on March 18, 2024. Candidates who have passed class 10+2 from a recognized board in a relevant subject with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for reserved candidates) can fill out the HPCET 2024 application form. To prepare for the Himachal Pradesh entrance exam, candidates must follow the HPTU syllabus. Moreover, candidates can check the HP CET exam pattern to understand the structure of the question paper.

About HPCET Exam

The full form of HPCET is the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test. HPCET 2024 is conducted by Himachal Pradesh Technical University for admission to various UG and PG courses in the affiliated colleges/institutes and University schools & off-campuses. Candidates who fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions will be allowed to apply for the test. Admission to the participating institutes will be based on HPCET score.

B.Tech

HPTU has released the HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria along with the official brochure. Candidates have to adhere to HPCET eligibility criteria 2024 which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

  • To be eligible for B.Tech, candidates must have passed or appeared 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following as third subject – Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects.
  • Candidates need to have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the above mentioned subjects. For reserved category candidates, 40% marks are required for the same.

B.Arch

There are certain conditions and requirements that candidates are required to meet to be eligible for admission. Candidates will have to adhere to HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

  • Candidates need to have scored minimum 50%  marks (45% in case of reserved categories) in aggregate in their 10+2 or equivalent exam with Mathematics as a compulsory subject to be eligible for B.Arch. OR
  • Candidates who have passed 10+3 diploma equivalent to 10+2 level with  Mathematics as a compulsory subject with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of reserved category). 

B.Sc. HMCT

The eligibility criteria of HPCET 2024 will be prescribed by the university for candidates to fulfil it. Candidates will have to adhere to HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exams in any stream from a recognized Board established by the Central/ State Government to be eligible for this programme.
  • Candidates also need to have secured a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying exam (45% in the case of SC/ ST category candidates).

B.Pharma

The eligibility criteria of HPCET 2024 will be prescribed by the university for candidates to fulfil it. Candidates had to adhere to HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

  • For B.Pharm, candidates need to have passed or appeared in 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of the following as a third subject – Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject to be considered eligible for B.Pharmacy.
  • Also, candidates must have secured a minimum 45% marks in the subjects mentioned above taken together. For the same criteria, 40% marks are required for candidates from reserved categories.
  • Candidates applying should have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the admission year.

M.B.A

The eligibility criteria of HPCET 2024 will be prescribed by the university for candidates to fulfil it. Candidates will have to adhere to the HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

  • To be eligible for an MBA, candidates needed to have a recognized Bachelor’s degree of a minimum 3 years duration with a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying exam. (45% marks in case of reserved categories) 
  • The eligibility criteria of HPCET 2024 will be prescribed by the university for candidates to fulfil it. Candidates had to adhere to HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria which include parameters like age, qualifying exam, subject combination, nationality etc.

M.C.A.

For MCA, candidates need to have a recognized Bachelor’s degree of a minimum 3 years with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or the Graduation level with a minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination. (45% marks in case of reserved categories)  

B.Tech

HPTU released the HPCET 2024 application form at the official website, himtu.ac.in. The application form of HPCET 2024 is available in online mode. The HPCET application process comprises registration, form filling, uploading documents, and payment of application fee. Candidates who fulfil the Himachal Pradesh CET eligibility criteria can fill the HPCET application form. Below are the steps for filling out the application form.

How to fill HPCET Application Form 2024?

Registration – Candidates have to register by providing their name, user name, date of birth, valid email address and mobile number. After entering all the details, a password will have to be created by the candidates. Upon successful registration, a unique form number will be generated and sent to the provided email id.

Filling of Details in Application Form – Candidates will be required to fill in their personal, academic and communication details, after logging in using the user name, password and application number.

Documents Uploading – After filling of all the details, candidates will have to upload the scanned images of their photograph and signature in the specifications as prescribed by the authorities.

Application Form Editing – Candidates will be able to edit their filled details in the application form (if necessary).

Fee Payment – Following this, candidates will have to pay the requisite application fee in online or offline mode. Online payment can be made through a credit card or debit card, however, offline payment can be made through PNB Challan.

Confirmation Page & Submission - After application fee payment, a PDF will be generated. This PDF will have to be mailed at himtuadmission @gmail.com or candidates can also choose to submit it personally at the office of the “Controller of Examinations Himachal Pradesh Technical University Hamirpur (H.P.)-177001” within a week after it was generated.

A separate merit list will be released for JEE Main and HPCET qualified candidates. The allotment of seats will be based on the merit list.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Himachal Pradesh Technical University has commenced the HPCET 2024 counselling based on JEE Mains for round 2. The authority is conducting the HPCET counselling in offline mode. Candidates have to report to the HPTU, Harmipur Campus as per the schedule for the counselling process. Round 1 of the counselling for HPCET 2024 was held from July 25 to 30. The authority has announced the complete HPCET 2024 counselling schedule online. HPCET counselling 2024 registration concluded on July 8, 2024 on the official website. To participate in counselling of HPCET 2024, candidates have to register themselves. During the HPCET 2024 counselling registration, candidates have to make the payment of the counselling fee.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Candidates will be admitted to 5 years B.Arch. programme based on their 10+2 or equivalent exam aggregate marks and valid NATA score (Percentage) or JEE Main Paper 2 score (Percentage) taken in equal ratio.

HMCT

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  The admission to this programme will be on the basis of merit of 10+2 or equivalent exam.
