About Karnataka PGCET 2024
Karnataka PGCET 2024 - KEA announced the Karnataka PGCET 2024 mock allotment on November 11, at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Also, the round 1 option entry was concluded on November 11, 2024. Previously, the authority was to release the Karnataka PGCET 2025 mock allotment result for Karnataka PGCET 2024 on November 9. The authority is yet to announce all the revised PGCET 2024 dates online. Eligible candidates had to choose the desired course and college details through the option entry for PGCET 2024 to be eligible for seat allotment. The last date to download the acknowledgement claims slip was November 8, 2024. The Karnataka PGCET 2024 result for M.Tech/M.E/M.Arch/MBA was released on September 28, 2024.
Candidates can check the Karnataka PGCET result on the official website, using their registration number. Qualified candidates can proceed to apply for the Karnataka PGCET counselling through the option entry process. The authority released the final Karnataka PGCET answer key for M.Tech on September 24, 2024. KEA has uploaded the Karnataka PGCET seat matrix and fee structure online. The PGCET 2024 application form correction for M.tech concluded on September 23. Applicants had to complete the graduation marks entry process by September 22 to be assigned a rank in the Karnataka PGCET result. The authority held the Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam for MTech/MArch on September 18.
The authority released the Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam day guidelines and bell timings for the M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch exam online. Moreover, the Karnataka PGCET 2024 admit card was released on September 12. To download the candidates required their application number and the first 4 characters of their name. The authority announced the revised dates for Karnataka PGCET for M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch courses on the official website. Candidates who clear the exam will be eligible for admission to various participating institutes of the state.
Karnataka Examination Authority released the official Karnataka PGCET 2024 answer key for MBA and MCA on August 6, 2024. Candidates can raise objections against the preliminary answer key of Karnataka PGCET 2024 by August 8. The Karnataka PGCET 2024 answer key is available in the format of PDF. KEA has successfully conducted the Karnataka PGCET 2024 on August 4, 2024.
KEA conducts the Karnataka PGCET 2024 exam for MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech, and M.Arch in CBT mode. The authority has revised the Karnataka PGCET exam syllabus this year. As per the latest syllabus, the Karnataka PGCET exam paper will have five sections and the duration of the exam will be 2 hours. The Karnataka PGCET 2024 question paper has 100 MCQs. Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking for an incorrect response.

What is Karnataka PGCET exam?
Karnataka PGCET conducts the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) to shortlist candidates for MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech, and M.Arch as well as lateral entry MCA courses offered by various government/ university/ private aided and private non-aided institutions in Karnataka. GATE-qualified candidates are exempted from appearing for the Karnataka PGCET. They can directly apply for M.Tech admissions offered by the participating institutes based on their GATE scores.

The authorities released the PGCET 2024 eligibility criteria through the official brochure. It contains the basic Karnataka PGCET eligibility to be followed by candidates for PG admissions.
Karnataka PGCET: General Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have completed a B.Tech course from an institute recognized by the state of Karnataka with a minimum aggregate of 50% in the qualifying degree. However, reserved category candidates are given a relaxation of 5%
- Candidates with valid GATE scores
Karnataka PGCET 2024: Eligibility for Government Seats

The Karnataka PGCET 2024 registration process was closed by KEA on July 7. Candidates can apply for the Karnataka PGCET online at the official website. The Karnataka PGCET 2024 application form is now available on the official website -kea.kar.nic.in.
Given below are the steps for the Karnataka PGCET application form 2024 (reference purposes only):
- Registration: Candidates must visit the official website and click on the Karnataka PGCET registration button. They will have to provide details that involve the name of the candidate, parent’s name, gender, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number. After successful registration, a user ID and password are created, which serves as a unique registration number.
- PGCET 2024 application form: Candidates had to provide all personal and academic details while filling out the Karnataka PGCET application form 2024. Candidates having valid GATE scores will also be required to provide details of the GATE exam.
- Document Upload: While filling out the Karnataka PGCET 2024 application, scanned copies of candidates’ photographs, signatures, and left thumb impressions are to be uploaded by candidates.
- Submission of Application: After cross-verifying all information provided by candidates, they will have to agree to the terms and then submit.
- Application Fee: After submission of the Karnataka PGCET 2024 application declaration, candidates have to pay the required application fee. They can pay the fee online using net banking/ credit card/ debit card or offline through cash payment at any branch of the State Bank of Mysore. After that, candidates should take a printout of the application confirmation page for future reference.

Exam pattern of Karnataka PGCET MBA 2023 specifies the topics from questions will be asked, the total number of questions and total time duration of exam. As per Karnataka PGCET MBA exam pattern 2023, the entrance exam will have a total of 100 objective type questions (MCQs) and each question carries one mark. Candidates can download their PGCET admit card 2024 using their application number and the first four characters of their names. The Karnataka PGCET 2024 admit card contains the basic information of the candidates, including their name, roll number, father’s name, venue, date and time of examination, photograph, and signature of the candidate. Candidates are advised to check the Karnataka PGCET admit card for any discrepancies soon after downloading. Candidates must contact the authorities in case of any discrepancies in the hall ticket. The admit card for Karnataka PGCET 2024 (MBA and MCA) was issued on July 25.

The authority concluded the extended option entry process for the Karnataka PGCET 2024 counselling round 1 on November 11 (10:00 AM). The Karnataka PGCET counselling dates 2024 for round 1 have been revised. The registration process for Karnataka PGCET counselling is conducted in online mode only. Candidates are called to participate in Karnataka PGCET counselling based on their ranks. Counselling will be held in several rounds, and candidates are allotted seats accordingly. The authority will release the seat allotment result for Karnataka PGCET counselling 2024 in online mode.
PGCET 2024 Counselling Process
- Registration: In order to participate in Karnataka PGCET 2024 counselling, candidates have to register online.
- Document verification: The authorities will conduct verification of documents for registered candidates at the help centres. Candidates will have to carry all the relevant documents to prove their eligibility.
- Allotment of the secret key: Once candidate documents are verified, a verification slip and secret key are provided during Karnataka PGCET 2024 counselling. To enter their preference of courses and colleges, candidates have to log in with the secret key.
- Choice filling: Candidates will have to fill out their choice of courses and colleges during Karnataka PGCET counselling 2024. The same has to be entered in the order of preference.
- Mock Allotment: For choices filled by candidates, mock allotment will be done by KEA, reflecting the results based on candidate preferences and their performance in Karnataka PGCET and GATE.
- Seat Allotment: Karnataka PGCET 2024 seat allotment results will be announced online for each round of counselling. Candidates have to log in with the required credentials. Seats will be allotted based on candidate rank in the Karnataka PGCET and preferences filled by them during choice filling.
- Reporting to the allotted institutes: Allotted candidates have to report to the allotted institute to complete the admission process. Candidates are required to pay the admission fees at the allotted institute to confirm their seat.
