In my AP state board the math exam is divided into two 2A And 2B I got less than 60% in 2A but together 2A 2B it is more than 60% I fulfill every other section AM I ELIGIBLE FOR BITSAT

kumardurgesh1802 13th Apr, 2025

Hello there,

Yes, you are eligible for BITSAT if your overall aggregate meets the requirement.

BITSAT 2025 Eligibility (Key Points):

  • You must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics , and English.

  • You need a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in PCM (Physics + Chemistry + Mathematics) combined .

  • You must also score at least 60% marks in each of the three subjects individually .

So if your Maths (2A + 2B combined) is above 60% , then you're fine. BITSAT considers overall marks in Mathematics , not 2A or 2B separately.

If:

  • Physics ≥ 60%

  • Chemistry ≥ 60%

  • Maths (2A + 2B) ≥ 60%

  • PCM Aggregate ≥ 75%

Then you're eligible for BITSAT.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

Hello,

to be eligible for BITSAT 2025, candidate must secure at least 60% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and an aggregate of 75% in these three subjects combined. if your Mathematics score is divided into two parts (2A and 2B), BITS will consider the combined marks of both. however, if your combined Mathematics score is below 60%, you would not meet the eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2025.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for BITSAT if you meet the overall eligibility criteria. According to BITSAT rules, candidates must have passed the 12th board exam with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (taken together), and at least 75% in the qualifying exam overall. Since your combined percentage of 2A and 2B is more than 60%, and if you meet other conditions like having the required subjects, you should be eligible to apply for BITSAT.

Akansha Sharma 12th Apr, 2025

Sure! If you’re from the AP Board and just got your Class 12 results, you can apply for BITSAT only if you passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths and got at least 75% overall, with 60% in each subject (PCM). Upload your result here so I can check it for you. If you meet these marks and passed all subjects, you are eligible.

I am going to pass my class 12th this year but not with god grades because I didnt study well, so am going to repeat my class 12th as a private candidate. Ive applied for JEE and BITSAT. Next year when Ill appear for JEE Ill be considered as a dropper but my main concercn is that will I be considered as a dropper for BITSAT also? Or I can appear for BITSAT in 2026 and 2027 or Ive only 2026 attempt only.

Mayumi DAS 8th Apr, 2025

Hello,

Thanks for sharing that—it's totally okay to take a step back and plan for a stronger comeback!

Now, regarding BITSAT eligibility and whether you'd be considered a dropper:

BITSAT Eligibility Rules:

As per the latest BITSAT norms (usually consistent year to year):

  1. You are eligible for BITSAT only in the year you passed 12th and the following year.

    So if you:

    1. Pass class 12th in 2025 (as a private candidate) → You can appear for BITSAT in 2025 and 2026 only .

    2. You cannot appear for BITSAT in 2027 , as that would be the second year after your 12th .

What counts as “year of passing”?

It’s the year printed on your final Class 12 marksheet , not your original attempt.

So since you plan to repeat and officially pass in 2025 , your valid BITSAT attempts will be:

  • BITSAT 2025

  • BITSAT 2026

Dropper status?

  • BITS doesn't officially use the term "dropper" in eligibility.

  • You’ll be treated as a fresh candidate in 2025 , since your Class 12 pass year will be 2025.

Summary:

  • Yes , you can appear for BITSAT in 2025 and 2026.

  • No , you won’t be eligible for BITSAT 2027.

  • Repeating Class 12 as a private candidate is completely valid for both JEE and BITSAT , as long as you meet age and attempt criteria.

I have got a 95% in my 12th from Telangana state board can I get a seat in bits Pilani or Hyderabad without writing BITSAT

harsh singh 6th Apr, 2025

BITS Pilani and BITS Hyderabad do not accept state board marks for direct admission, except for board toppers. Here’s what you need to know:

Admission Criteria for BITS Pilani/Hyderabad

1. BITSAT Exam – You must qualify for BITSAT, the entrance test for admission.

2. Direct Admission for Board Toppers – Only Telangana state board topper gets direct admission, not all high scorers.

Is it good to write bitsat exam...?

Rohan 5th Apr, 2025

Yeah, it's definitely a good idea to write BITSAT if you're aiming for a solid engineering college. BITS Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad have a great rep — strong placements, chill campus life, and no reservation system, so it’s all about your performance.

The exam’s a bit different though — it’s fast-paced and includes English and reasoning along with PCM. But if you’re already prepping for JEE or CUET, it’s totally manageable and gives you another great shot.

Akansha Sharma 14th Apr, 2025

Yes, it's definitely a good idea to take the BITSAT exam if you're interested in pursuing a degree at BITS Pilani or its other campuses. BITS Pilani is a prestigious institution known for its high-quality education, research opportunities, and strong campus placements. By writing BITSAT, you open the door to a wide range of engineering and other programs at a top-tier college. Just make sure you're well-prepared, as the exam is competitive but rewarding if you do well.

I scored 65% in CBSE 2024 and now i have applied for imporvement in 4 subjects in NIOS 2025 board. I am appearing for JEE Mains and BITSAT 2025, will the colleges accept 4 subjects from my NIOS marksheet and 5th subject from my CBSE marksheet?

Prachi Kumari 27th Mar, 2025

Hello,

Most colleges, including those accepting JEE Main and BITSAT scores, require a complete marksheet from a single board. Mixing subjects from CBSE and NIOS may not be accepted.

For JEE Main , NTA usually requires candidates to pass five subjects in a recognized board. If NIOS is your main board in 2025, then all five subjects should ideally be from NIOS .

For BITSAT , BITS Pilani requires Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics along with adequate marks in English. They generally expect a single marksheet from one board.

Hope it helps !
