According to the admission criteria of respective college the admission to the first 50% of the seats sha ll be made on the basis of merit/rank/score obtained in JEE (Main). The remaining 50% seats will be filled up on the basis of merit of the qualifying e xaminations. i.e 10+2. The minimum required percentage in 10+2  is 45 for general category and 40 for reserved category . Also the candidate have to score at least 15 marks in JEE main (10 for reserved category.) Any aspirant from all over india is eligible to give HPCET entrance exam .

Moreover students from jammu can also get admission in hptu through All india quota seats i.e 15% of total sanctioned seats and also 2 seats in each institution for kashmiri migrant is reserved
