my son will be appearing for his 12th board in 2021...is he eligible to give imu cet which will be held in june 2021...pls guide

pkp.inutail 21st Oct, 2020

Greetings,

As far as appearing for the actual IMU CET exam for undergraduate courses I see no reason as to why your son would be ineligible.

Given the Covid-19 situation and the fact that higher education is definitely going to suffer some setbacks in the coming session of 2020-2021, the exam's tentative dates in June 2021 can very easily be postponed if the circumstances so demand.

Just make sure that your son covers all the other eligibility requirements by next year (being 17 years of age and passing PCM [for B.tech] with minimum 60% marks for general category)

Anxiety and lack of surety is understandable and completely normal in these trying times but please remember that it is the same for every student so any decision regarding exams and careers that the universities or governments make will mostly ever be in favor of the students.

Best of luck to your son and if you have any more queries then feel free to post them. Good day!

my don will be appearing for his 12th board exam in 2021 so is he eligible to give imu cet in june 2021

Neha 22nd Oct, 2020

Dear Uttara gupta,

Yes he can apply for IMU CET in 2021 . But as per the policy he should have passed the exams till that time. So the board results mostly get out in May then he will be eligible for the exam. As per the eligibility criteria he should have qualified 12th standard (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized central or state board and should be be minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years old as on August 1, 2021.

There are more criterias which you can see from below link.

Hope it helps.

Hello,

The IMU CET Syllabus consists of 6 sections English, General Knowledge, General Aptitude, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

The syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics consists of topics mainly from class 12, so you focus should be 90% towards class 12 syllabus and 10% towards class 11% syllabus.

You can check the official syllabus from the link below :
