are aspirants supposed to practice all the books/material listed above or just choose any one form each section?/?????

Subhrajit Mukherjee 20th Mar, 2021

See reading all the materials and stuff is quite costly as well as time taking. Now depending on the time you have, you have to choose wisely. You know your subjects, if you think that you can get the syllabus done and can provide the answer asked in the exam by reading one book then its absolutely fine. But in general no book is perfect. So every book has its own advantage and disadvantages. Thus to minimize all this disadvantages use of multiple books is appreciated. Now if you can get the books from library or PDF versions or any way out, you can look at them and choose the material which will be based for you. Studying material thoroughly is important.

I hope this answer gives you some perspective. All the very best for your future endeavors!

is it essential to pursue B.A LLB or we can pursue only LLB by having graduation from another University?

pdwords Student Expert 11th Feb, 2021

Hello,

Pursuing any course should be more dependent on your areas of interest firstly, and when it comes to law if you want to have a career in this field and currently you're in 12th standard or still in school I would say go for integrated law program which is for a duration of five years, it comes in many forms such as BA-LLB, BBA-LLB,BCom-LLB,BCA-LLB,BSc-LLB etc, these are amalgamation of law with the respective subject such as management in BBA-LLB, hence if you have any such inclination to explore law along with the other subjects then you can go for integrated course, the eligibility criteria is generally passed 10+2 from a recognized board with 45% aggregate, law as a course doesn't have any barrier in terms of having specific combinations subjects though the criteria may exist in case of combinations such as BSc-BBA or BCA-LLB, you should check out the eligibility criteria for the specific integrated law program that you want to apply, some of the top entrance exams for integrated law courses are CLAT, LSAT, AILET, BHU UET etc, on the other hand LLB is based on the eligibility of passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized board with 45-50% aggregate depending upon the norms of the university, LLB is for a duration of three years, some of the top entrance exams are DU LLB, LAT, BHU UET etc, admission in both the cases are also done on the basis of the merit of the qualifying examination.

Now, coming to your question  you have tagged JMI it only offers BA-LLB(Hons), it doesn't offer three year LLB, and as I said if you're still in school then the best choice is to go for integrated law if you're solely and wholly focused on a career in law, it's like the sooner you start the better it is, and if you wish to pursue law after graduation that also you can do, in doing so the time period would be a bit longer say three-four years of graduation and three years of law, but both the courses are good enough and opportunities are also the same.
