Hi aspirant,
Manipal Institute of Technology had released application form for engineering courses in December. Now candidates have the option to apply for either one or both the phases at once and the application fee would be rupees 2,000 including the registration and course fee for each phase. Please note that after the conclusion of phase 1 that registration window would be opened for phase 2 again where you can register for it separately by paying the required fee.
Hope it helps!
See MET is undoubtedly an easier examination compared to other Masters entrances in Engineering. There are no such separate choices for MET, but it would be better for you to consider the GATE books as references. MET will not be as tough as GATE, but if you can prepare for GATE not like Toppers but atleast like Average students, then also you will have a very high chance to qualify the MET with good ranks. So considering the materials of GATE will be a wise choice for you. The previous year papers of MET aren't released by the University authorities, so you can't get those, but you can estimate, the question type to be alike with the easy questions coming in GATE.
For GATE CSE books you can consider the link below:

I hope this helps. Wish you a great eve!

Hi
Yes, you can definitely join the autonomous college whose eligibility criteria you fulfill.
It is completely ok even if you don't fulfill the the eligibility criteria of the university to which that autonomous college is affiliated with.
This is because,
Autonomous colleges have the power of autonomy in the sense of conducting examinations on their own, can have their own eligibility criteria and can even change/modify the syllabus as per their need requirement.
Also,
Not all colleges become autonomous college, only quality colleges are selected by the University which are given the power of being autonomous so that they can improve the quality and standard of the college further.
So, you don't need to worry at all dear. If you fulfill the eligibility criteria of the autonomous college then without any second thought you can get admission in it
Best of luck for your future:)
