CPGET 2024 - Osmania University will release the CPGET seat allotment 2024 for MEd and MPEd phase 2 on November 22. The university started the CPGET 2024 web options for MEd and MPEd on November 19. Aspirants could exercise the CPGET web options till November 20, 2024. The CPGET 2024 counselling registration for M.Ed and M.P.Ed phase 2 started on November 18. Students could make changes to the documents they have uploaded till the closure of the registration window. 

The TS CPGET final phase provisional allotment and first phase seat allotment for M.Ed. and M.P.Ed was released on November 9 on its official website. Candidates can check the CPGET 2024 seat allotment by visiting the official website at cpget.ouadmissions.com. Aspirants can download the TS CPGET 2024 provisional seat allotment by entering their login credentials such as hall ticket number and their rank. The CPGET 2024 entrance examination was conducted to enroll students into various postgraduate programmes including five-year integrated programmes offered at the Osmania University, Telangana University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Palamuru University, Telanagana Mahila Vishwavdyalayam and JNTUH.

CPGET stands for Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests. It is an entrance exam for admission to postgraduate courses in the state of Telangana.

What is CPGET Entrance Exam?

The CPGET Entrance Exam, also known as the Telangana State Common Post Graduate Entrance Test (TS CPGET), is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad for admission to various postgraduate courses offered by universities in the state of Telangana. It offers admission to courses like M.Sc, MA, M.Com, M.Ed, MSW, M.Tech, M.Pharm, and other PG diploma courses. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions and is conducted for a duration of two hours.

The university will release the CPGET final phase seat allotment for MEd and MPEd on November 22. The CPGET final phase allotment 2024 was released on November 9. Candidates could exercise CPGET final phase web options till November 4. Osmania University started the CPGET final phase counselling registration on October 28. Students could register for the CPGET 2024 counselling till November 1. The CPGET 2024 second phase seat allotment was published on October 9 in online mode at cpget.tsche.ac.in. Candidates who have selected in the seat allotment has to report to the allotted colleges before the deadline. Those wishing to take part in the CPGET counselling 2024 should register by visiting the official website cpget.tsche.ac.in. The university started the CPGET 2024 counselling registration for phase 2 on September 21. The last date for CPGET phase 2 counselling registration was September 27.

Before filling the application form, candidates must check the eligibility criteria for CPGET 2024 laid down by the Osmania University. The CPGET eligibility criteria 2024 is the minimum academic requirement that candidates must meet to be eligible for admission. Any candidate who fails to satisfy the eligibility criteria of CPGET 2024 will have their application form rejected by the authorities. Applicants should check out the points given below to know the CPGET eligibility criteria 2024. Subjects such as Kannada, Persian, M.A. Arabic, Marathi, and Theatre Arts do not require candidates to undergo an entrance examination.

  • Candidate must have completed B.A, B.Sc or passed an equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 40 per cent marks in the - Part 2 subject.
  • Candidates who have qualified the Bachelor degree Compartmentally with a 40 per cent aggregate marks are also eligible. 
  • For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, there is no minimum requirement of marks. They only have to pass in the qualifying subject.     
  • Candidates who have a degree with a single subject or through open/distance mode of education are not considered eligible.
  • There is no age limit for candidates appearing in CPGET 2024.
  • The age limit for candidates of SC/ST category applying fee reimbursement is 34 years.
  • The age limit for candidates who are Disabled/ Minorities is 30 years.
  • The candidate have to meet the local/unreserved status criteria, set by the Telangana educational institutions.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc in Data Science at Osmania Univeristy

  • Candidates must have completed B.Tech/ B.Sc or B.E. degree with Data Science opted as an optional subject.
  • Having a minimum of 24 credits is a must for candidates who have completed their degrees in B.Sc/ B.E. or B.Tech.

  • Candidates who have completed B.Sc degree with Statistics, mathematics or Computer Science opted as a subject can also apply for this programme.


The Osmania University opened the CPGET 2024 application correction window on June 18, which was closed on June 21. The university started the CPGET application process on May 18 in online mode. Candidates could fill and submit the CPGET application form 2024 till June 17. Applicants should check the eligibility criteria before they sit down to fill the application form of CPGET 2024. It is advised to fill the CPGET application form 2024 with all the necessary details such as the number of entrance test, contact number and email id and candidature. 

Candidates need to upload the scanned passport size color photo, signature, or the certificates of caste/income (if applicable) in the application form. The authority will provide the correction facility to candidates, as if there is any mistake, the candidate must correct it. After filling all the details in application form candidate must take the printout of the application form for future reference.

After filling the CPGET application form 2024, applicants need to remit the registration-cum-application fee via Credit/Debit Cards or Net banking or at any T.S/A.P Online centers as well. Thereafter, applicants will receive a registration ID, which they should note down as it will be useful until the admission process is over.

Candidates who are preparing for the CPGET entrance test must check out the exam pattern set by the authorities. CPGET exam pattern 2024 help candidates in their preparation for the Common Postgraduate Entrance Test. According to the exam pattern of CPGET 2024, the entrance test is held either in online or offline mode (pen-paper mode). Candidates are given a total of 1.5 hours to finish the entrance test. Given below are more information about the CPGET exam pattern 2024.

There are 100 multiple choice objective questions in CPGET entrance exam for a total of 100 marks. The CPGET entrance test 2024 is for programmes such as M.Sc. Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Genetics and Microbiology follows a pattern that requires the candidates to appear for a common entrance test, namely BCBTESFSG&M which comprises of Part-A (Chemistry for 40 Marks) and Part-B (Any of the optional subject: Physics, Botany, Zoology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology) for 60 Marks as determined.
