PESSAT 2024: PES University declared the PESSAT 2024 result on May 16. The authority updated the link to check the PESSAT result on the official website, pessat.com. Candidates can access their PESSAT results using their registration number and date of birth. PES University held the PESSAT exam from April 20 to May 12. Candidates who qualify the entrance exam will be considered for BTech admissions.

The authority commenced PESSAT 2024 slot booking on April 17. The link for the slot booking for PESSAT 2024 was updated on the website, pessat.com. PESSAT 2024 registration for the candidates of Bangalore concluded on April 22. Candidates who qualify 10+2 with a minimum of 60% in PCM are eligible to apply for the PES University entrance exam. Moreover, candidates must refer to the PESSAT syllabus and paper pattern for exam preparation. The authority has concluded the PESSAT 2024 registration for candidates outside Bangalore on April 14. The PESSAT 2024 exam date is available on the official website.

What is PESSAT 2024?

PESSAT People's Education Society Scholastic Aptitude Test is a university-level exam that is conducted by PES University, Bangalore every year for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It is conducted by PES University for admission to BTech programs and various other programs offered by the institute. Candidates are shortlisted based on their test score as well as their performance in the personal interview round. The exam duration is 3 hours (180 minutes) comprising of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English papers.

B.Tech

As per the PESSAT eligibility criteria 2024, candidates seeking admission to the B.Tech programme must follow the below eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have passed the Class 12 or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks in Physics + Math + Chemistry/Computer Science/ Electronics/ Biotechnology of 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board”.

  •  Test Scores in PESSAT (National level exam) or KCET (State level exam) or JEE Mains are required.

B.Des

To get admission in B.Des course, candidates appearing for PESSAT 2024 must have passed the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with at least 50% in the qualifying examination from a recognized board.

B.B.A

To be eligible for PESSAT 2024 to pursue a BBA course, candidates must have read the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. 

  • There are no requirements for a particular stream in Class 12 to be deemed eligible for the BBA course through PESSAT 2024.

B.B.A L.L.B

Candidates taking PESSAT 2024 to pursue BBA LLB must qualify for the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have passed Class 12 or any other exam which is an equivalent exam. 

  • For general category candidates, a minimum score of 45% of total marks in Class 12 or an equivalent examination is required as per PESSAT eligibility criteria 2024.

  • Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category need a minimum of 40% in aggregate. Candidates must note that if the minimum required score is 44.5% and above then it will be treated as 45% and a score of 39.5% or above will be treated as 40%.

M.B.A

To fulfill the PESSAT eligibility criteria 2024 for the MBA course, candidates must check the following requirements-

  • Candidates seeking admission to the MBA must complete a graduate degree with at least an aggregate score of 60%.

  • As per the PESSAT 2024 eligibility criteria, it must be ensured by the aspirants, that the graduate degree should not be obtained from the distance or correspondence mode of education.

  • Candidates taking admission via CAT, or CMAT must have scored at least 50 percentile.

  • There is no age limit to appear for PESSAT 2024.

M.C.A.

As per eligibility criteria, for PESSAT 2024 to pursue MCA, a candidate needs to hold a Bachelor’s degree. The degree should be obtained from a recognized University to fulfill the PESSAT eligibility criteria 2024.

M.Tech

Candidates applying for the M.Tech course need to check the eligibility criteria of PESSAT M.Tech eligibility criteria carefully. If any candidate is found ineligible at any stage of the admission process, the candidature will be cancelled.

  • He/She should have secured at least 60% in Engineering degree in a relevant stream from a recognized University.

  • Test Scores in PESSAT, PGCET, or GATE are accepted.

PES University concluded the PESSAT 2024 registration process in online mode. The registration link was activated at pessat.com. The PESSAT application process comprises of registration, form filling, uploading of documents, and payment of PES University registration fees. Candidates who meet the minimum eligibility conditions will be allowed to complete the registration process. PESSAT application form 2024 will be accepted in online mode only. Candidates must complete the registration process before the PESSAT 2024 registration deadline.

How to fill PESSAT 2024 application form:

The candidates are required to go through the following steps while filling out the application form of PESSAT 2024,

  • Registration- In this step, candidates have to select the course and enter details like name, gender, date of birth, and email ID. After submission of these details, click on the ‘Submit’ button and then confirm.


  • Fill out the PESSAT 2024 application form - After registration, candidates will be required to fill in personal details, permanent address, marks in the qualifying examination, and branch in which the admission is sought (only for candidates seeking admission to B.Tech courses), choice of exam centres to fill the application form.     

  • Upload documents- The photograph and signature must be uploaded in this step of the PESSAT application form 2024.

  • Pay application fee- Candidates have to pay the requisite application fee through the online or offline medium.

  • Take a printout- After the successful submission of the registration fee and details, candidates can take a printout of the application form.

PESSAT 2024 for B.Tech programmes will have 180 questions. Candidates will get a total of 3 hours to answer questions in the exam. The question paper of PESSAT 2024 for B.Tech will comprise two sections – Section 1 and Section 2. Section 1 will have questions from three subjects namely Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics.

As per the PESSAT exam pattern, the questions asked in section 1 will be of Classes 11 and 12 standard. Section 2 will have questions about English Grammar.

B.Des

The entrance exam for the B.Des course will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours. PESSAT 2024 for B.Des also known as Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be held in pen and paper mode. Candidates will be required to carry their own pencils, sketches, and an eraser at the time of the exam. If a candidate has done any creative work, then a portfolio of the same needs to be brought at the time of the PESSAT/DAT exam.

The question paper of PESSAT 2024 for B.Des will contain questions from subjects like General Knowledge, Basic Knowledge of Colours and Form, Spatial Sense, Sensitivity to Aspects of Typography, 3D Visualisation, Ability of Visualise/Imagine, Interpreting Natural Laws and Basic Engineering, Free-Hand Sketching, Basic Analytical Ability, and Basic English.

B.B.A

PESSAT 2024 for the BBA course will be held for a duration of 2 hours. The question paper for the BBA course will contain three sections- English Comprehension/Verbal Ability, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. The total number of questions in PESSAT 2024 for BBA will be 120.

    Candidates must make use of the sample papers and mock tests to ensure higher accuracy and increased speed for the examination.     The authorities have conducted the PESSAT counselling process 2024 online. The candidates who will be qualified for the PESSAT exam will be eligible for the counselling process. The PESSAT counselling 2024, will be based on the marks obtained in the aptitude test. Candidates have to report to the venue according to the respective timings specified by the exam authorities. 

    Registration for the counselling process has to be done by the candidates by using their registration number and date of birth. During PESSAT counselling 2024, they have to select their choice of course as per the order of preference. Candidates are advised to choose as many choices as possible to increase their chances of admission.

    In case, a candidate fails to report to the allotted centre then an authorized representative can participate in the counselling process. The representative must hold an authorization letter which should be approved (with seal and sign) by the authorities concerned. Candidates are required to opt for specialization at the time of PESSAT counselling 2024.

    PESSAT 2024 Seat Allotment Process:

    The seat allotment of PESSAT will be done on the basis of rank, preferences, and seat availability. The allotted candidates will have to choose any one option from the four options.

    • Option I: If the candidate is satisfied with the allocated seat then after choosing the options, they have to submit the Demand Draft (DD) and original documents.

    • Option II: If the candidates want to confirm their admission but do not have the original documents. Then, they have to submit Demand Drafts and attested copies of original documents. If the original documents are not submitted within the specified time, the admission will be cancelled.

    • Option III: If the candidates want to decline the allotted seat.

    • Option IV: If He/She wants to refuse the allotted seat and participate in round 2 of counselling.

The CS program is highly competitive, and while the closing ranks vary each year, your rank falls within a relatively favorable range for admission. It is advisable to keep an eye on the specific cutoff trends for your desired course and to apply early to increase your chances.

    For NMIT, admissions are done on the basis of academic eligibility followed by CET and COMEDK exams. For academic eligibility, The student should have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination. Further, they should have given the Further, the student should have given CET or COMEDK.

    For Ramiaiah, A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 pattern of examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible. The eligibility for admission is 45% in case of General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in case of SC/ST, Category-1 and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry is less for the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses). Entrance Exams accepted are KEA / COMEDK.

    For PESSAT, PESSAT itself is an entrance exam conducted for admission in PES university. If you want admission in PES university, then yes, they accept JEE main scores. The candidates should have qualified 10+2 qualifying (or equivalent) examination from a recognized board and should have completed their 10+2 qualifying (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects and secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics + Math + Chemistry of 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. Should have secured valid KCET/PESSAT/JEE Mains scores to be considered eligible for admissions.
