Your marks is very good and according to your marks you acn easily get admission in ANNA university and MIT.from my point of view you have to go for CSE or IT branch because both have good future and if you are thinking about future then also you have to for it because both branches have good scope and good future. So, you have to go for CSE or IT branch.

MIT is the best.Better Choose CS&IT in MIT which having More Placement Opportunities when Compared to other Departments.

According to the analysis made with your tancet score and the last year cut off in anna university admissions, your chances are quite low to obtain a seat in the university.although this is a good mark, considering the level of competitions, it becomes difficult. you can try your chances in private colleges where you have good chances of obtaining a seat

Let me tell you have a decent rank in TANCA and according to your MBC category you should be able to get good colleges. The colleges like CEG and MIT are some of the best colleges under Anna University and the GATE candidates are also competing for the seat so the competition is really tight. Still you have a chance but a slim one to make it there. But you totally can as trends change every year.

I am sorry to say but according to previous year cutoff trends and with your rank it is difficult for you to get Anna University. Your chances of getting Anna University is very low. But don't lose hope. You might get other colleges. Also the cutoffs changes every year due to paper difficulty level, no of students appearing for the exam and counsellign and no of seats in the college. So sit for the counselling and try your luck. Hope you get your desired college.

As you  mention your rank ...with this rank it is difficult to get colleges like MIT,CEG easily.. but you can get other good colleges which you can get easily with you rank..
