What are the important topics in mains syllabus and to study
hello,
You have the syllabus of NCERT for physics, maths and chemistry. There is no important part as question paper is unpredictable and no one knows how many question will come from one chapter. If you have any JEE main preparation book or an previous year paper collection book then you can see analysis for every year. They do this to make the students know how many questions are asked from each chapter. but this doesn't says that the chapter from where most questions came previous year will come this time too.
No, it won't happen. The papersetters of jee main board are enough intelligent and they know how candidates think which is why it is one of the toughest exam across in India. The reason is paper is unpredictable and no one knows what will be asked. Paper is not that difficult but it will easy for those students who have given most of their times for practice and learned it. if a candidate gets confused then answer will get wrong which says that the practice level is low.
Practice is the only key which will help you crack the exam. For now you don't have enough time so just learn the topics which you find easy for you and numericals of those chapters. In the meanwhile solve previous 5-6 year Jee main papers too.
Hope it helps!

i want to get 400 +in neet please recommend important topics in chemistry and physics dont tell study biology please
Hello Aspirant,
To qualify neet you need focus on topics in physics, chemistry and biology with more weightage .so here are the topics of physics and chemistry which you asked for:
Physics
- from class 11th ,syllabus is Mechanics. On an average 11-12 questions are asked from this.
- Topics such as Semi-conductors, Heat and Thermodynamics, Laws of Motion, Kinematics, Work Energy & Power and Rotational Motion.
- Modern Physics, from class 12th syllabus
- Current Electricity & Magnetism, Electrostatics and Optics.
Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry chapters are important for NEET.
- Equilibrium
- Chemical Bonding and Molecular structure
- Electrochemistry
- Chemical Kinetics
- Coordination Compounds
- Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids
- S, P, D and F Block Elements
- Hydrocarbons
- Atomic structure
These are important topics according to previous years papers and weightage.
GOOD LUCK!
can anyone please guide me the most important topics in neet 2020 in pcbz so that i score 600+ ...as am very tensed about my exam approaching soon in five moths...and i am a dropper , joined Aakash????
Yup NEET is just 5 month away,so you definitely need to start preparing in a manner in which you can score high .so here are some topics which you must do-
For physics, optics is must both the wave optics and geometrical optics.
Thermodynamics.
Heat.
Rotational mechanics.
Work power and energy
Semiconductors.
Current and electricity.
Electrostatics.
Magnetic effect of current.
All portion of waves like shm, sound.
For biology,
Everything is obviously very very important but chapters like-
Human Reproduction.
Reproductive health.
Ecology whole unit.
Genetics again whole unit.
Plant physiology.
Human physiology.
Biotechnology.
Plant reproduction.
These are like zest of biology .
For chemistry-
In physical chemistry they don't ask very tough numericals try to cover all chapters of class 12th and from 11th chapters like thermodynamics, equilibrium are major topics.
You will have to read whole organic as there is no favourite portion of the question setters, they ask anything from anywhere in organic but NCERT is again enough for organic.
For inorganic chemical bonding is a must then coordination compounds,p and d block these are major topics. They usually don't ask questions from hydrogen or s block.
Lastly few chapters like environmental chemistry, surface chemistry are the chapters which we usually ignore ..never do that, these chapters are very scoring.
Thank you!!
I really hope this works for you but ya still time is sufficient and you can cover whole syllabus so all the best.
Which topics of bsc zoology are same as in zoology optional cse syllabus ?
Hello Aspirant,
The syllabus varies to the each college, Kindly mention about which university you are asking about the syllabus so that you can get answer of your query.
Good Luck!
Most importanat topics of zoology in upsc optional cse are?
Dear Aspirant,
This option is mostly chosen by students who are pursuing Life Sciences and want to pursue UPSC. Zoology as a subject has a lot of potential as a paper, if you have a background and is a really good choice as it is a science paper. It like any other paper, requires hard work and sincere practice. The success rate in 2015 for people who chose to take it as an optional was 6.9% and though not popular, even the toppers of the exams have often secured with this great scores in Zoology.
There are two optional papers each of 250 marks, making a total of 500 marks for the optional.
Here is the syllabus:
Paper 1-
1) Non-chordata and Chordata
(a) Classification and relationship of various phyla up to subclasses
(b) Protozoa
(c) Porifera

(b) Electron microscopy (TEM, SEM).
For this paper make sure that all the theories of chordata and non-chordata sections are done. In the subsection, chordate description, the phyla should be compared anatomically and phylogenetically. The scoring topics are- economic zoology, bio instrumentation and bio statistics as they are smaller and the questions asked for them are predictable. So pay attention to these. Also, in economic zoology, focus on the developments of India.
Paper 2
1. Cell Biology
2. Genetics
3. Evolution
4. Systematics
5. Biochemistry
6. Physiology (with special reference to mammals)
7. Developmental Biology
Some tips for this paper:
- Write about human welfare applications in the topic genetics.
- Generally, peripheral topics are not asked in this section.
- Prepare Hardy-Weinberg Law properly, including problems because if a 15-marker from this comes, you have a good chance of scoring full.
- For the preparation of evolution, study from the book Organic Evolution (Evolutionary Biology) by Veer Bala Rastogi.
- For physiology, you should use Ganong’s Review of Medical Physiology or Guyton and Hall Textbook of Medical Physiology.
- In biochemistry, practical biochemical pathways with structural formulas of molecules is an important topics. Using flowcharts in this section will help.
- For developmental biology section, practice diagrams a lot. This is a tough section as well.
Here are some more books for you from which you can prepare-
- Modern Zoology by Ramesh Gupta
- Organic Evolution (Evolutionary Biology) by Veer Bala Rastogi
- Ganong’s Review of Medical Physiology
- Guyton and Hall Textbook of Medical Physiology
- Cell Biology by CB Powar
- Genetics by PK Gupta
- Modern Textbook of Zoology – Invertebrates by RL Kotpal
