The full form of GCET is Goa Common Entrance Test (Goa CET). The Goa common entrance exam is an entrance exam which is given by the students who pursue Btech courses at various colleges in Goa. This test is conducted by the DTE (The directorate of Technical Education) Goa, and usually, it is held in the month of June every year. This test is designed to assess the eligibility of the candidates who seek the various courses in the state of Goa.
The candidates are allowed to sit at the exam just at least 30 minutes before the exam begins.
The candidates must ensure that they have their admit card with them all the time and present it as needed.
Before the beginning of the exam, the candidates must read the questions first.
Also the candidates must not waste their time in answering the tough questions instead they are instructed to go on the simple questions and resolve them first.

The GCET is one of the most important entrance exams of engineering in Goa and the result will be announced in September month.
The candidates must click on the GCET link provided here http://dte.goa.gov.in/ and the result can be accessed in a downloadable pdf, with no login credentials as per now required.
First preference must be given to the candidates who scored the highest in math.
If two candidates scored a similar score in maths then the candidates with higher chemistry marks will be given the preference.
If the candidates whose score is higher in the class 12 mathematics will have an advantage.

The combined scores of physics and Maths in the GTA exam are used in the preparation for the GTA’s Merit list.
In the month of September 2023, GCET will disclose its result.
As such, there is no age limit to apply for the GCET exam. However, after this exam, in order to take college admission in the first year of respective courses the minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years, and candidates also have to qualify for class 12 or equivalent examinations with cutoff marks.
GCET 2023 will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test.
