What is the full form of HPPSC?

HPPSC - stands for Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission.HPPSC is the main authority that conducts entrance examinations for different state civil services departments.HPPSC works under the government of Himachal Pradesh. HPPSC was founded on 1st April 1997 at the request of the state governor to the president of India.HPPSC is governed by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). HPPSC is responsible for selecting class I and class II posts in the state civil services.

  • The cutoff will be based on the obtained marks in the mains exam and interview.

Candidates have to secure the minimum score to qualify for the exam. Those who score highest obtain merit, and they get selected for higher positions. This minimum score varies from category to category. There is a sectional cut-off required to qualify for the exam, the candidate must ensure he/she obtains an overall minimum score to qualify for the next level of the exam.

Interview (viva-voice):

Since this round is an overall personality assessment test, there isn't a set syllabus. The interviewers may inquire about current events of significance on a national and worldwide level as well as their socioeconomic and political awareness of the circumstances in the state of Himachal Pradesh during the test. The prospective candidate must be properly versed in Himachal Pradesh's local traditions, culture, and dialect. Candidates will also be evaluated on their soft skills, leadership traits, communication abilities, mental agility, and critical thinking.
