What is Full Form of IMEI

The full form of IMEI is the International Mobile Equipment Identity. The IMEI number is a unique series of 15 to 17 integers used for identification on Global System for Mobile communication phones. Any telecommunications establishment’s SIM card is linked to the client and can be transferred from one phone to another, so it's a required system for observing the appliance itself. IMEI stands for International Mobile Equipment Identity. How IMEI number is made

The IMEI( 15 decimal integers 14 integers plus a check number) or IMEISV( 16 integers) includes information on the origin, model, and periodical number of the device. The structure of the IMEI/ SV is specified in 3GPP TS23.003. The model and origin comprise the original 8- number portion of the IMEI/ SV, known as the Type Allocation law( TAC). The remainder of the IMEI is manufacturer-defined, with a Luhn check number at the end. For the IMEI format previous to 2003, the GSMA guideline was to have this Check number always transmitted to the network as zero. This guideline has faded from the format valid from 2003 and onwards.
