  • IPCC: Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
  • IPCC: Integrated Professional Competence Course

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

It deals with global climate change and weather. Switzerland's Geneva serves as the location of the IPCC's headquarters. The political environment, available alternatives for a response, and the economic state of the various nations are some of the other themes that are covered in this particular body about international politics, in addition to climate change.

It is an intergovernmental study group that works under the direction of the UN to assess how the climate is changing. WMO (World Meteorological Organization) and UNEP, two UN organizations, founded it in 1988. (United Nations General Assembly).

The IPCC is attempting to broaden our understanding of climate change.

Primary objectives of IPCC:

  • It offers stability in the highly concentrated greenhouse gas in the atmosphere.
  • The IPCC has approved and made public the "Principles Guiding IPCC Work," which outlines and notes the IPCC's analysis and evaluation;
  • the likelihood that human activity will cause climate change, as well as any potential consequences and available defences.
  • With the assistance of the IPCC, the various phases of weather and climate change are improved in terms of transparency and objectivity.
  • Therefore, it is evident that the IPCC has a variety of duties and responsibilities.

Integrated Professional Competence Course( IPCC)
