IQ Full Form is Intelligence Quotient. Intelligence quotient (IQ) is a number used to express a person's intelligence. The abbreviation is “IQ”. It is the total score gained from a set of standardised measures developed to calculate a person's intelligence.

Psychologist William Stern invented the phrase “IQ” for the German Word “Intelligenzquotient.” Alfred Binet and Theophile Simon in 1905 introduced the first intelligence test.

IQ was initially calculated by taking the ratio of mental age to physical age and multiplying by100.

For example : If a 20 year man has a mental age of 30 ,his IQ would be 3020 100. = 150.

Many tests determine the IQ of a person. The value derived from the test determines the intelligence of an individual. An individual's IQ can be measured from one of the many tests developed for gathering data.
