The full form of the acronym JAIIB is the Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of the Bankers. The Indian Institute of Banking and Finance(IIBF) is the organisation that administers the associate exam. The exam is given twice, once in May and once in November.
This examination is used to test or assess an individual’s fundamental knowledge to work as a banking professional. A person should know banking and financial services, client connections, customer relationships, financial technology, accounts, and other banking aspects.
IIBF allows only candidates who are members of the IIBF to appear for the test. In utmost centres, it is conducted in Hindi or English in the online mode and selected centres in the offline mode as well.
A written online test comprising three papers, each of 100 marks carrying 120 MCQ questions with a duration of two hours.
Each paper must receive at least 50 out of 100 in order to pass.
There is no provision for Negative marking.

Only applicants who have worked in the banking and finance sector in the past are eligible to take the JAIIB exam; general candidates are not eligible.
Candidates who are interested in applying for the position must have earned a 10+2 level in any subject or an equivalent.
One can register for the examination online from the IIBF’s website www.iibf.org.in.
For every paper, a 50 out of 100 scores is the required minimum to pass.
If the candidate receives all 45 marks in a single attempt, he or she will have a cumulative 50% in all subjects.
The fees for the 1st attempt is Rs. 2,700 + GST charges
The fees for the 2nd attempt is Rs. 1,300 + GST charges
The fee for the 3rd attempt is Rs.1,300 + GST charges
The fees for the 4th attempt is Rs. 1,300 + GST charges
