The full form of KEAM is Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical. It is a state-level entrance examination administered by the Office of the Admissions Commission under the auspices of the Government of Kerala.

These exams are structured to select candidates for engineering, architecture, medicine, pharmacy and other science courses at various public, private and private universities in Kerala. On an average, more than 70000 students have been participating in KEAM every year since the past few years.

KEAM 2023 eligibility criteria:

Applicants must satisfy the following eligibility criteria before completing the application form:

  • Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.

  • Qualification: Candidates must pass 12th from the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or equivalent. (at the time of admission)

  • Age Criteria: The candidate’s minimum age should be 17 years on or before 31st December 2023. There will be no upper age limit for Engineering, Architecture, and B.Pharm Courses.

  • Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks in PCM or PCB depending on the course they want to opt for.

KEAM 2023 required documents:

  • Educational certificates. (Certificates of 10th & 12th, if passed; if appearing then, only 10th certificate).

  • The scanned copy of the signature, photograph and also the left thumb as per the specifications that will be mentioned in the admit card.

  • There should be valid identity proof which can be Aadhar Card, Pan Card etc.

  • Proof certificate

  • Proof for Nativity/Domicile certificate

  • Other certificates like reserved category certificates/caste certificate/NRI certificate etc if applicable.

  • The admit card for the exam will have the details of the venue and date of the examination.

Applicants must submit all the above documents when filling out the application form. After entering all data, applicants should keep a printed copy of the application form. Applicants must pay the application fee along with the KEAM 2023 application.

KEAM 2023 exam pattern:

The exam pattern presented here helps candidates to get a general idea of the entrance exam:

  • The entrance exam is conducted offline.
  • Two papers will be asked in the exam, Paper 1- Physics & Chemistry and Paper 2- Mathematics.
  • Each paper duration of 2:30 hours.
  • A total of 120 questions appear in each paper.
  • Each question is 4 marks, and 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • Candidates who wish to enrol in Engineering courses must take Exam 1 and Exam 2, and candidates who wish to enrol in Pharmacy/Medical/Agriculture courses must take Exam 1 only.
