i am bcom ( accounting and finance) final year student.but i am not god in accounts/maths what can i do further for carrer ?
Hey!
You can after completing your course, go for careers and further courses in the field of Commerce as well as other fields also. Since you are already in your last year, what you can do is, you can look for the previous year question papers and solve the questions which are repetitive and along with that practicing the questions on a regular basis would surely help.
After completing this course, you can further go for courses like MBA or Financial Management. If you don't want to pursue course spefically in this field, you can opt for courses like law. Below mentioned are some of the career opportunities after completing the course.
- Company Secretary
- Insurance and Banking Service
- Marketing Manager
- Business Accounting and Taxation
- Cost and Work Accountancy
- Chartered Accountancy
i had studied commerce with business maths in +1, +2 and currently pursuing bcom ( accounting and finance ) now i came to know that i having interest in computer feild what can i do in carrer as well as in course
If you want to go for the computer and software related field then I would recommend you to go for the course of BCA which will give you a proper background in Computer Application and after the completion of the course you can work in the field of Software engineering etc. So its a great opportunity for non-science students, to dive in the field of IT and CSE. Now if you are reluctant to go for BCA then I would recommend you can go for MCOM (Computer Application)/Diploma/certificate programs after your BCOM. But BCA is the best among this options. You can also do BCA after your BCOM.

I am in last year of my B.com( accounting and finance) and so I have decided to choose investment banker as my career. Can you please tell me what I should do after my graduation. Please guide me. I also wanted what kind of exams I have to give?
Hey
Investment bankers are experts who help companies in gaining capital through various means. They handle large financial transactions.nvestment bankers earn a huge income. The average investment banker salary in India is INR 9.61 lakh per year. It ranges from INR 2.46 lakh per annum to INR 70 lakh per annum, including shared profits and bonuses.Investment Bankers prefer MBA Finance as top applicant's profiles over the other profiles. Also if you’re a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter, then you can easily make your way into the Investment Banking.Another preferred eligibility criteria or the education requirement is that of a Chartered Accountant (CA).The minimum education requirement is to get a graduate degree in any discipline. But graduation will only make you way into investment banking as a intern. You can enter to Analyst or Junior Analyst level if you have graduated from a renowned institute. You can immediately become an Investment Banker post-graduation but you need to have good experience, knowledge and further qualification to sustain in it.Experience is very important. On gaining experience the income also increases.
is bcom in accounting and finance good for doing mba in finance?
hello sushmita,
BAF/B. Com (A&F) i.e. Bachelor of Accounting and Finance/ Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance is an undergraduate programme which was introduced by the University of Mumbai in the year 2003-04. It is a 3-year self-financing degree course spread across six semesters i.e. two semesters a year, focusing on the domains of Accounting and Finance. It also provides opportunities to gain a broader insight into the financial aspects of Business and Management. The objective of introducing this course was to enable self-employment and provide skilled professionals in the field of Accounting & Finance to organisations.
hiring MBA graduates is because of their managerial acumen which they learn during their MBA days. This is why doing an MBA after B.Com is highly recommended. Both MBA and B.Com degrees will help you grasp leadership skills as well as managerial acumen.
