Which act gives protection to women victims of violence that occurs within the family
Hello aspirant,
Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 came into force from 26 October 2006. It is a very comprehensive and promising legislation that combines civil remedies with criminal procedures to ensure effective protection and immediate relief to victims of violence of any kind occurring within the family, The definition of ‘domestic violence' is in consonance with the UN Model Legislation on Domestic Violence. The aggrieved can seek protection against any physical, sexual, verbal and emotional abuse or economic abuses. This law for the first time recognizes a women's right to a violence free home. Under the Act, the right to reside in the matrimonial home/shared household was seen as a major breakthrough in women's rights in India.
Salient features of the Act are as follows:
- It covers those women who are or have been in a relationship with the abuser where both parties have lived together in a shared household and are related by consanguinity, marriage, a relationship in the nature of marriage, or adoption.
- It defines "domestic violence" to include actual abuse or the threat of abuse that is physical, sexual, verbal, emotional or economic.
- It confers on the aggrieved woman the right to reside in a shared household, whether or not she has any title or rights in the same.
- against the domestic violence;
- It provides for appointment of Protection Officers and recognizes and involves nongovernmental organisations as service providers for providing assistance to the abused with respect to her medical examination, obtaining legal aid, safe shelter.
Hope this helps you

The Resultant of two forces when they act at the right angle is 10N . Whereas when they act at an angle of 60° the resultant is √148.Determine the magnitude of two forces.
Dear aspirant,
First of all you need to read the question properly and work step by step accordingly. You need to form two equations and solve simultaneously. Let the force be F1 and F2. So in first case F1+ F2 = 10 and in second case F1+F2+2 F1F2 cos60= √148. Then substitute F1 = 10-F2 in second equation.
The Resultant of Two Forces When they act at the right angle 10N,Whereas when they act at an angle of 60° the resultant is √148.Determine the magnitude of the two forces.
Hello candidate,
The resultant component of any two forces acting at any direction is given as the sum of the individual forces taking the cos component of the angle between them.
So, F= √(F1^2 + F2^2+ 2F1*F2* cos theta), in the given question is mention that the square of two individual vectors is equal to 100, and the other component of 60 degree gives the resultant.
Hence, the individual forces are of 8N and 6N respectively.

how does landfilling act as an important method of waste disposal explain in 150 words
Landfilling is one of the important methods of waste disposal and becomes all the more important in today's times when we fall short of area for waste disposal. This method helps in compression and recycling of waste and hence, reducing most part of the waste. how does landfilling act as important method of waste disposal
Dear Student,
a landfill can be defined as the site for disposal of waste materials. It is known to be one of the oldest forms of waste disposal.
The process of dumping waste materials on a barren plot of land after compressing it is commonly known as landfilling. It is one of the most common methods of waste disposal.
It is an important method of waste disposal as it helps in the prevention of urban and rural pollution.
It helps in prevention of pollution in some of our water bodies by reducing the amount of waste materials that are dumped directly into them.
It is also important to make note that, radioactive waste cannot be disposed in landfills as they might cause harm.
