You should be a graduate in agriculture, veterinary, fisheries, dairy Horticulture etc and preferable Post Graduate holders with Marketing Specializations or Post Graduate diploma in Rural Development Management.

Yes, mathematics is compulsory to study for a food technology course, because its likely that the subjects you would study in higher classes would include mathematical modeling of food and processing parameters.

Scope of Agricultural and Food Engineering
The demand for agricultural and food engineers is expected to grow at the rate of 4% from 2014 to 2024. The need to protect our environment, combat climate change, and global warming, increase agriculture production will surely go a long way in absorbing this new workforce. Those having completed their Bachelor's and Master's degree in Agricultural and Food Engineering will have an opportunity to work in various government departments at the state level. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has planned to set up ten more Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering (CIAE) with an aim to expedite the level of pre and post-agricultural mechanization. The ICAR is also mulling to establish 200 Farm Machinery Operation cum Maintenance Training Centres with an aim to empower the youth and give thrust to entrepreneurship.

Dear Shikha, ICAR AIEAA is conducted once in a year by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research for admission into Bachelor and Masters degree programmes offered by various Universities. At this point in time news is the online applications will be released tentatively in the month of April. Now as we have mentioned that ICAR AIEAA is for admission into Bachelor and Masters courses, it is to be mentioned that the exam pattern us also slightly different.
For UG: The exam will be conducted in Pen and paper mode for a duration of 150 minutes and students with visual impairment are given an additional 50 minutes. 60 multiple questions will be asked from each subject i.e Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics in the form.of Multiple choice questions. The questions will be asked in English and Hindi. For every correct answer you get 4 marks and 1 wrong answer takes away 1 point.
