can i get amrita university admission with 84.63 percentile in jee mains?? or in vit chennai campus??
Hi
hope you doing well
Amrita University has multiple campuses (Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Amritapuri, etc.) and conducts admissions primarily through AEEE (Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam). However, it also considers JEE Mains scores for admission.
With 84.63 percentile, you may have a chance to get admission, but securing a spot in highly sought-after branches like Computer Science (CSE) might be more competitive.
You might have better chances in branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical.
- VIT primarily conducts its own entrance exam, VITEEE, but it also accepts JEE Main scores in some cases for admissions.
- Your 84.63 percentile may allow you to get into VIT Chennai, but highly competitive branches like CSE or ECE might be difficult to secure with this score.
- You could have a better chance of admission into branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Biotechnology.
You can also go for Josaa couselling and and other state counselling for more option.

I got 89.54 percentile in JEE Mains . Can i get a CSE or other seat in Amrita University...? please answer with possibility in percentage...!
Hi
hope you doing well
Your approximate CRL rank would be around 1,20,000 to 1,30,000 acc to your jee mains score of 89.54 percentile. Based on this rank, the chances of securing a CSE seat at Amrita University, especially in their top campuses like Coimbatore, might be limited. However, for other campuses like Bengaluru and Amritapuri, you may have a higher chance.
In terms of possibility:
- CSE in Coimbatore: Low (10-20%)
- CSE in Bengaluru/Amritapuri: Moderate (40-50%)
- Other branches (like ECE, IT, AI) in any campus: High (60-70%)
To improve your chances, also participate in the counseling process for AEEE, as Amrita considers both AEEE and JEE Mains scores.
Best wishes.
