To get a job as an archaeologist you first need to complete your class 12th with good marks. After that you have to apply for entrance exam for Bachelor of Arts in Indian History Culture and Archaeology  or Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology and Museology.

Some of the top colleges offering these degrees are -

• The Delhi Institute of Heritage Research & Management, New Delhi
• Institute of Archaeology, Archaeological Survey of India, New Delhi

You need to meet the eligibility criteria for these colleges and qualify its entrance exam to get admission. After completion of your 3 year bachelors degree you will have an opportunity to join companies like Archaeological Survey of India, Indian Council of Historical Research , Some of the National Heritage Agencies or Museums.
