The eligibility criteria for pursuing M.Tech in India is as follows:

• Applicants must hold a BE/ BTech degree in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence from a recognized university with an aggregate of at least 50% marks.
• The students must have cleared all the backlogs.
• Students must be medically fit.

Admission criteria:

• Some colleges or universities select students depending on their marks in the Bachelor’s degree examination.
• Students need to score an aggregate of at least 50% marks in the Bachelor’s degree examination.
• Colleges following the entrance exam based admission process generally follow national level entrance exams like GATE.
• However, some colleges also conduct their own entrance exams.

Therefore, YES students who are pursuing B.Tech in ECE are eligible for the mentioned post-graduate course.

For now I can tell you AI is the future and BTech in Artificial Intelligence will definitely be an in demand branch, with strong career scope and placement prospects. However, the bitter truth is Placements are highly influenced by your University. Try getting into atleast a NIRF Top 100 Engineering College, and youll probably end with strong Placements. As far as affordability is concerned, it again depends on your College, whether its a Government, State, Private University and fees may vary accordingly.
