can a PCMB student with IT as an additional subject aplly for undergraduate AI or automation and robotics engineering?

anirudha vats 5th Jul, 2021

Hey,

To be very honest the eligibility for an engineering degree for any course requires that a candidate needs to have passed 10+2 from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics as their main subjects.

As you have PCMB and also IT you are perfect for the course you have mentioned. As you have IT it will be easier for you to understand the language and hence will help you to learn the language easily.

You can apply to different college offering the course either through merit based or entrance test selection as decided by the respective college.

Hope that helps.

All the best.

Thank you.

B.Tech Robotics Engineering syllabus include electrical measurement, thermodynamics, mechanics of solids, machine design, , signal processing, and much more.
In eight semesters that curriculum that provide core, basic sciences, practical and industrial-based training.
Robotics is a multidisciplinary branch.

Automation and Robotics of engineering takes a majorly relies on the principle of artificial intelligence and encompasses they provide designing the prototype to building the final resourceful output. How is the campous placement for VIT chennai mechatronics and automation? and ratio for the placement?

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 28th Jun, 2021

Hi Aspirant!

I am afraid to say that VIT Vellore is no good for mechatronics or automation branch. No doubt VIT is popular for its placement records but those are only good for CSE, IT , EEE or ECE. All the other branches than these has less number of placement opportunities. The average salary offered by the recruiting companies for the branches like automation or mechtronics is no more than 3-4 LPA. I would suggest you to chose any other branch if you apply.

Thankyou!

Is mechatronics with automation is nice course to study in vit chennai as sticked to it?

apoorvakomuravelly 25th Jun, 2021
Hi,
Mechatronics with automation is a good course but it may not give you better knowledge in Vit Chennai. I think it better to go for mechanical or some other stream as the Mechatronics syllabus is almost too Mechanical but not as much as Mechanical in detail.

After persuing mechanical engnieering you can make your career in various number of field like  Auto industry , manufacturing industry , tool Industry , production Industry PSUs. and lots more. and after Automobile Engineering you are Restricted only one sector that is auto mobile. now days lot of private colleges provides Automobile Engineering Which has Seriously no value and nor any companies prefers students of Such college.

I am not saying that doing automobile engineering is not a good option .

Automobile engineering is only good when you are getting some top colleges or government colleges like IITs , NITs , PEC , DTU , NSIT , State Government Engineering Colleges E.T.C.

Which course is better mechanical engineering or robotic & automation?

Hrisheekesh Singh 30th Mar, 2021

HI Aryan,

It totally depends upon your interest and passion. If you are interested in machines and how they are made or how they work mechanical engineering would be the best choice for you. Now, if you are interested in AI or future technologies like robotics and have affinity towards programming then you should go for Automation and Robotics.

hi,

see cutoff score fluctuate every year and it may varies with certain facts like number of applicants, gate difficulty level of paper, students category, choice of stream and so on. however based on your score , by analyzing the previous years data, you have less chances for electrical engineering stream or interdisciplinary  stream. you have good chances for iit delhi control and automation system, power system engineering.
