Which has lots of placement opportunities inbetween M.Tech in Automotive Engineering and M.Tech in Manufacturing Engineering?
Hello Shabir,
Automotive engineers are concerned with the development of passenger cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles or off-road vehicles. They do one or more of the following:
- Design new products or modify existing ones
- Troubleshoot and solve engineering problems
- Plan and design manufacturing processes
Automotive engineers must apply their engineering skills in a commercial way because their innovations and solutions must be effective and profitable. Their typical responsibilities include:
- Researching, designing, developing and producing vehicles and components
- Preparing cost estimates and design specifications
- Preparing plans and drawings
- Analyzing energy, environmental and safety aspects of the planned project
- Predicting vehicle or component behavior under different conditions using computerized models
- Developing testing procedures
- Investigating product failures
- Analyzing, interpreting and condensing technical data into reports or presentations
- Supervise technical staff
- Working closely with other types of engineers, such as civil, electrical, aerospace, chemical and industrial.
Manufacturing Engineers work for a wide range of manufacturing firms. They take responsibility for technical functions and maintenance of production lines and also manage development of new production lines.
- Ensure smooth, cost effective production and high performance in the industry
- Prepare plans and instructions for the manufacturing process
- Set the functions on the machines on the shop floor to operate with precision in the production process
- Supervise fabricators on the shop floor
- Give detailed directions for efficiency in completion of the production process
- Troubleshoot problems on the production line and manage repair and maintenance
- Test new equipment and machinery to authenticate it for the production process

After graduation i have 4years experience in automotive field now iam applying for mtech automotive engineering. Is it is good to me?
Well see i also have seen many doing mtech after a gap means after some years of doing btech. As you say that after the completion of btechh you did 4 years of work in automobile sector , so you have enough experience in automobile sector, and now you want to persue mtech. So i think that these 4 years of experience will help you a lot.

How many seats available for Automotive engineering? For outer Delhi region.
There are almost 93 to 95 seats for Automotive Engineering in Delhi Technological University for the Undergraduate course of B.Tech.
For the admission process, DTU follows the 85-15% rule which means 85% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Delhi region.
Which means approximately 80 seats are reserved for Delhi region candidates and almost 14-15 seats are reserved for other state candidates.
Hope this has answered your query.
How is ms ramiah college for automotive engineering ?
Hello aspirant,
You asked for the review of the college named MSRIT for automotive engineering. So, here is the full description of this college:
The sizes of the classrooms with a seating capacity of 70–80 students. It has it’s own ground that too is of a decent size but it's a little far from campus ( approx. 300 m). The whole campus of Engineering is divided in 5 blocks & there are libraries in 2 of the blocks. There's 1 canteen in the campus for Engineering students ( But there is bigger canteen in Law which you can use)
For admission in Engineering courses, you have to give the COMED-K exam if you are from outside Karnataka or CET if you are from Karnataka. You have to get a rank within around 7000 - 8000 in COMED-K if you want admission in Ramaiah.
The fee is same as the other private colleges of the same level. For 2020–2024 batch, the tution fee is around 2 L.
MS Ramaiah has given highest package of around 50 to 64L .Average package is around 8.5L which is good.
All the best !!

Hello sir/Maam I got 59772 rank in VITEEE 2019. Can I get Mechanical (Spec. in Automotive engineering)?
The expected cutoffs of VITEEE 2019 for a Mechanic engineering course are as follows :-
1) Mechanical engineering (vellore) -> 10,000
2) Mechanical engineering with specialization in Automotive engineering (vellore) -> 12,000
3) Mechanical engineering with specialization in Energy engineering (vellore) -> 20,000
4) Mechanical engineering (chennai)-> 30,000
5) Production and industrial engineering (vellore) -> 45,000
Link for previous year cutoff trend:-
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/viteee-cutoff
Hence, you can see that you cannot get a seat in your desired branch and desired campus.
You should try for other campuses of Vellore Institute of Technology like Bhopal and Amaravati.
You will surely get a seat there as these are new campuses and cutoffs are low there.
Hope this helps!
Best regards :)
