may i know deemed universities vs autonomous institutes
Hello Aspirant,
Hope you are doing well
1) Deemed university status is granted by UGC to autonomous universities which work on very high standards in the specific area of study whereas Autonomous colleges are affiliated by any Government university but follow their own grade system for their academic courses instead of following the university's syllabus.
2) Deemed universities award their own degree while autonomous colleges have no such privilege.
3) Deemed university is more free and flexible as compared to the Autonomous college.
Hope it helps!
All the best for your future
This year June, I have passed 1st year M.Com Accountancy from an autonomous institute (Mithibai College). Is there any issue in enrolling for 2nd (Final) year through Mumbai University Distance Learning, if 1st year was done through an institute with an autonomous status?
