Four balls are drawn from a bag containing 5 black, 6 white and 7 red balls. Let X is no. of white balls drawn. find the probability mass function or probability distribution of X
Hello candidate,
In the given question, mention that a bag contains 5 black, 6 white, and 7 red balls out of which 4 balls are drawn at random.
Let X equal to 0, so the probability distribution will be-12C4, where C refers to combination.
Let X equal to 1, so the probability distribution will be- 6C1 ×12C3, where C refers to combination.
Let X equal to 2, so the probability distribution will be- 6C2 ×12C2, where C refers to combination.
Let X equal to 3, so the probability distribution will be- 6C3 ×12C1, where C refers to combination.
Let X equal to 4, so the probability distribution will be- 6C4, where C refers to combination.
Hope that it helps!!
BAG 2019 2020ki exam date kya hai
Hello,
I presume your query is regarding Bachelor of English Program for IGNOU, you haven't mentioned you're appearing for which session, anyway there are basically two term end exams in IGNOU, for admission in July cycle exam happens in the month of June, and for January the exams take place in December, if you have filled the form to appear for December Term End Exam, then exam will take place in the month of February, and if you have filled the June 2020 TEE form and couldn't appear for September Exam then also you are eligible to appear in February Exam, you can check out the released date sheet at http://www.ignou.ac.in/userfiles/dec,%2020%20date%20sheet%20(1)(1).pdf, you can also get the details for the same once your admit card is released which will most probably be by the end of this month.
how should I write answers , is there any format to write ans in graduation , I am student of BAG IGNOU
Hello,
Here’s your top exam writing tips to help you understand how to answer exam questions:
- Practice Past Papers- This process isn’t just about preparing an answer for a specific question, it’s about understanding how you approach a question in an exam, how to structure your answer, the timings you should assign and what information will get marks. So practice as much as you can
- Read All Questions Carefully- don't leave anything then start writing. Understand what question is saying and then write.
- Manage Your Time- Remember to leave yourself some time at the end to go back over your answers and add in little notes or pieces of information about the topic.
- Structure Your Answer- Most essays should have an introduction, three main points and a conclusion.
- Review Your Answers Thoroughly- Proofread your answers as much as you can to correct any spelling mistakes and add any extra comments you think are worth mentioning.
- Write a brief, to the point answers.
Hope this helps!!!!

A bag of sand of mass M is suspended by a rope. A bullet of mass m traveling with speed v gets embedded in it the loss of kinetic energy is ???
Hello,
Initial Velocity of bullet is v ( Given)
Let mass of the bullet be m
Therefore, Initial momentum = mv
and, Initial Kinetic Energy of the bullet will be: 1/2 * m * v^2
Now after the collision, let final velocity of the system (sand bag + bullet) be u
Mass of the bag is M ( Given)
Therefore, Final momentum of the system = (m + M) * u
and, Final kinetic energy of the system = 1/2 * M * u^2
Now according to the law of conservation of momentum, momentum remains conserved, therefore we have initial momentum = final momentum
Therefore, mv = (m + m) * u
= u = mv / (m + M)
Now, loss in kinetic energy = Initial Kinetic energy - final kinetic energy
Therefore, loss in kinetic energy:
= 1/2 * m * v^2 - 1/2 * M * u^2
Substituting the values of u obtained above, we get:
= 1/2 * m * v^2 - 1/2 * (m + M) * (mv / (m + M))^2
Solving the above equation we get, loss in kinetic energy =
(m * M * v^2 ) / 2 * (m + M) (Answer)
can we carry bag to kcet examination centre?
On the day of exam for KCET 2020, you only need to carry your KCET exam admit card along with your Identity Proof in original and photocopy of identity proof.
Also, please donot carry any other handwritten or printed notes of any except for the one mentioned above. Candidates should NOT bring any calculators, log tables, electronic watches with embedded calculators, walkie-talkie sets, mobile phones or any such device in the test hall.
Please use black ballpoint pen only for marking answers/responses and for all other entries.
All the best
Hope it helps
