According to previous years cut off analysis which is subjective as cut off ranks change every year depending upon a no of factors such as no of applicants, level of difficulty of blat this year, no of seats etc etc so nothing can be predicted with 100% sureity , also you are almost on borderline of getting /not getting bhu as last year cut off rank for obc was 75 against 258 marks so you might/might not have a chance.

Your ST rank of 21 is a very good rank and it is likely for you to get a seat in Banaras Hindu University. You have good chances of getting admission in BHU for MA in Sociology, if not in the first round of counselling, then surely in the second or third. Keep an eye on the official website for futhur notices.

Hi Anup. There are around 1500 seats in BHU for BA(Hons). It has been officially announced that the seats are going to increase this year and it will be maximum upto 2000. 10% of it that is 200 seats will be reserved for EWS category. Seeing your rank you have a very less chance  to secure a seat this year.

Well I am not pretty sure about the main campus but you can try for mahila Mahavidyalaya as well as other affiliated colleges. You may have chances to get admission there as compared to main campus. They usually have low cut off than the main campus itself.

According to last year cut off of BHU PET programm , you have very less chance to get admission in main campus , but you must  be wait for 2nd or 3rd round counciling .  You can apply for some other university like DU and state university for M.A. English .

Hi Aspirant. There are very less seats in BHU  LLB. So the competition is very high. A marks of 245 would be a marks leading you to the safe zone. But I am afraid that you have not scored enough marks which can keep you in the safe zone. I would suggest you to definitely go to counseling if you get a call letter.

Last year the cut off rank, for the general category students in the Admission in BHU for the MA Sanskrit course, based on the BHU PET, was 638. So, i would recommend you to check your rank accordingly to  the previous year's cut off rank ,as the cut off rank generally revolves around 600-700 only for the MA sanksrit course.
