My son is scored 440 in neet 22. He is Gen/Ews.Home state Karnataka. He was interested in mbbs Or bds Or bams. but he is Aplaying government seat Or government in private medical college. any chances is their?
Hello,
With 440 marks in the NEET exam, he has very low possibility of getting a government college in Karnataka or any other state. In Karnataka, the previous year cut off for getting a government college according to your category was 542 marks.
However, you can go for the following private colleges in Karnataka-
Chandrama Dayanand Sagar Institute of Medical Sciences- 342
SDM College of Medical Sciences- 404
Khaja Bande Nawaz Institute of Medical Sciences- 434
Please note that the cut off changes every year owing to various factors such as category of the student, difficulty level of the exam, number of students attempting the paper etc
Alternatively, you can also use the college predictor tool- https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor
Hope it helps!
how many mark required in neet for bds government college
Dear aspirant
You haven't specified your category and state quota for which you want to know so please try to mention those things when you want to know cut off so that we can answer you to that specific point.
Now if we talk about last year BDS cut off through all india quota counseling in mop up round for different categories was
Gen- AIR 34807 ( 575+ MARKS )
OBC - AIR 37341 (570+ marks )
SC - AIR 140668 ( 430+ MARKS)
St - AIR 174368 (400 + MARKS )
EWS - AIR 39501 ( 565+ marks)
Marks are approximately given in bracket but ranks are official data from website.
So if you are Gen category students you must need to score 575+ in neet 2022 to get govt BDS seat.
As your profile suggest you are from Uttar Pradesh , so there is only one govt dental college so it's cut off also go high and almost same for Gen category as in aiq.
If you are looking for private BDS college then you just need to qualify neet and you will get college but for good bds college and less tution fees you need High marks.

Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing absolutely great.
So with regard to your query, as per your expected marks scored in the NEET exam, your rank will be above 3 lakh and you might not get a seat in the All India Quota, however, there are chances for you to get admission into MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, Veterinary or any other private colleges and government colleges as well in the state quota, this will be basing upon your category, but it is not compulsory, you might get it basing upon the vacant seats.

How much score do we obtained for BDS (SC category ) ?
Dear aspirant
All india quota counseling cut off for neet 2021 for getting govt BDS college was AIR 140668 for SC category in mop up round counseling. The marks was approximately 430+ on that marks.
So if you want to grab a BDS seat in govt college through all india quota counseling in SC category you marks must be around 450 to be on safer side.
Now as your profile suggest you are Jammu Kashmir so state quota cut off for BDS in your category in neet 2020 was 385 marks in govt dental college and hospital, Srinagar.
So if you want to grab a seat through state quota counseling then your marks should be around 420-430 marks range (as data given above is of neet 2020 ).

i have scored 335 marks in neet 2022 can i get seat in bds and im sc
Dear aspirant
Your marks too low to get you govt bds college. There are almost no chances that you will get govt bds seat in either aiq counseling quota or state quota.
Last year I e, neet 2021 cut off marks for bds in all india quota was AIR 140668 (marks approx 450+ ) for SC category in mop up round of the counseling.
State quota counseling are also almost 380-400 marks for sc category.
So there are low chances that you will get a govt bds college.
Anyway you have very good chances that you will get private BDS college in both aiq counseling or state quota counseling. So if you are looking for admission in private BDS college you can go for counseling.

indian bds ok posible to study mds in Poland
can I join bds through management seat without getting clearing marks of neet in Karnataka?
Hello there,
Hope you are doing well,
For admission in BDS under government quota you need to have qualifying marks in NEET. Even for semi government or private colleges, you need to score minimum 50th percentile to qualify for admission. However there are colleges in Karnataka in which you can get admission under management quota but you need to pay high amount of donations for the admission. For admission through management quota you need to visit the college or contact them by yourself because all the colleges have different rules and criteria for admission under management quota.
Colleges you can try to get admission under management quota are mentioned below :
The Oxford Dental College and Hospital, Banglore
Coorg Institutions of Dental Science, Coorg
Manipal College of Dental Science, Manipal
Rajarajeshwari Dental College and Hospital, Kumbalgodu
Bapuji Dental College and Hospital, Devangere
Hope you find this helpful

I am first year bds student in Karnataka!! should I pay full 4 years fees if I want to leave bds and join mbbs in Karnataka?
In orrder to leave your previous college, you'll need to pay the bond money first.
Y9uu are required to submit an affidavit that states, if you'll leave this seat you are supposed o pay certain bond amount to the college/University as a compensation for leaving your seat.
Then only you'll be able to get your documents that are required for admission to the other college you are seeking.
This bond money always varies with the college. You'll need to check this with your College that whether have complete 4 year fee or not. Once you pay the bond money, you are free to leave the seat in your present college.
Hope this helps
All the best:)
